  • Our stock Goldwing Tour seat gives us Saddle Sores. So we tour the Corbin showroom and factory in search of an aftermarket custom motorcycle seat that suits - Corbin does custom seats for Honda, Harley Davidson Triumph, Indian, KTM, Aprilia, BMW, Kawasaki, Livewire, Norton, Vespa, Suzuki Royal Enfield and more. Located in Hollister, CA, Home of the Rally- Filming location of “The Wild One” , a classic biker movie starring Marlon Brando, leader of the Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.

It’s all about the ride, right?
And that ride needs to be comfy!
CA does have great road trip destinations, whether you’re on two wheels or four…
Thx for spending time watching and writing- we appreciate your comments 👍

I remember a few years back being at a rally and Corbin were making these custom trikes. Also made a cool body kit for the old Harley FXR called the Warbird. Definitely a company that thinks out of the box and the quality is top notch in whatever they touch.

It’s good to hear positive testimonial comments about Corbin-
We do get concerned about the extreme firmness?

Fantastic video. I (Kake ) have a Corbin on my F6B and I love it. The factory is only 110 miles from our doorstep so it was a nice day ride we even ate at the onsite restaurant.

We are so grateful you took the time to watch and write such a nice comment. We were impressed with the operation- lotsa people like RDL and SaddleMen too- we were thinking about all three and see what folks say about their experiences- we didn’t get to sample the cafe tho…

"Goldwing stock seat sucks?" Man is that an understatement! A bike that costs over $30 grand with a $30 seat.

It really is amazing- all that engineering and the seat is such an afterthought… thx for weighing in with that, btw

I've had 2 prior corbin seats before buying my 2018 goldwing. I agree the stock seat sucks but I stuck w it for 3 years. Just purchased a corbin saddle and it is amazing the difference. It's not even broken in yet and it's miles more comfortable already. I chose the black leather w alligator vinyl sides and the USA style corbin logo.

We were fans of the alligator looks as well. Thank for not only your positive testimonial, but thanks also for watching and writing in- we really appreciate you taking time to comment- we’re sure you’ll be even more happy after it’s broken in-
What the heck was Honda thinking?!

Corbin is hard to beat. The factory Gold Wing seat leaves a lot to be desired - it's just a seat. I'd love to see their shop in person.

      Corbin Is HARD…to beat apparently.
Ever though there are very firm, the way they are personally molded and adjusted ( especially if you show up in person), combined with the seemingly infinite customization combinations makes us understand why they are leaders in the aftermarket saddle industry-
Thx for taking time to watch and comment and we look forward to jumping back to your channel to check on your wing saga-
Hope things are rolling the way u want-

@@MiddleAgeRoadRage I think of it like those old timey steel tractor seats - the ones that cup your buns. Those old timers spent countless hours on those tractors bouncing around in the dirt. All about the shape.

Are the G.W seat water prof

    • @MiddleAgeRoadRage
      @MiddleAgeRoadRage  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey there,
We find the GW stock seat suitable and water resistant for our needs- but then we are southern Cali and don’t do much rain riding-
If you question is Corbin specific,
      This is from their site:
Don’t panic, water won’t damage your saddle. Corbin covers are extremely durable and are weather resistant too. Although the materials are resistant to water intrusion, the stitching in the cover can let water in. If this happens, your behind will probably get wet a couple of the times as you squeeze the water back out while sitting on the seat. The solution to this is to let the seat dry out in the sun for awhile. If you often find yourself getting caught in the rain, you may want to consider a saddle rain cover.
To assure that your leather seat retains it weather resistance, we recommend conditioning your seat on a regular basis with Corbin’s Saddle Cream or similar product. You should condition your seat at least as often as you wash your bike (TIP: Remove your saddle from your bike when washing it). We strongly suggest a regular coating of a good parafin or silicon based leather conditioner like ours… do NOT use cleaners or conditioners with a petroleum or kerosene base!

How call is the ride in. They do seats for my kawasaki vulcan s, I can't afford one but seeing their facilities makes it clear its top end so good service and value for money.
    Great history too!

Thanks for taking time to watch and comment- we appreciate your time and attention-
Delving into the history is always a blast for us.
The factory was pretty darn impressive, start to finish.
No wonder they have been so successful all these years.
You never know- you may have one on your ride in future !
