- The process behind the Raso Hand Painted Tortoise Shelll
The garment made in a satin weave cotton fabric of military origin is dyed and then faded in selected areas with a corrosive paste. The bleached parts have then been hand painted with a tortoiseshell-inspired motif also appearing on the Stone Island badge on the left sleeve. This extraordinary manual process makes each piece unique and unrepeatable.

For those who don't get it what is Tortoiseshell is, its a type of cat breed that have fur with a combination color of black and rusty brown. That is what Stone Island applied to this jackets.
I dont like complicated work, simply the best , but it looks nice , great work
One of the best jackets!
I was there at the brewer st event last night, and it was fascinating to see the various stages 'in the flesh' via the jackets that were placed on posts. I'd even have the jackets at each stage, as they looked so good!
You are expensive for me, but, You are the best brand I ever buy.
Id like the jacket when it comes out of the oven after the corrosion technique, just as nice as the finished article.....
