"Sayaun Thunga Phool Ka" - Nepal National anthem Nepali & English lyrics

"Sayaun Thunga Phool Ka" (Nepali: सयौं थुँगा फूलका "Made of Hundreds of Flowers") is the national anthem of Nepal. It was officially declared as the national anthem of Nepal on August 3, 2007 amid a ceremony held at the conference hall of National Planning Commission, inside the Singha Durbar, by the speaker of the interim parliament, Mr. Subash Chandra Nemwang.[1][2]
The lyrics of the National Anthem were written by the poet Pradeep Kumar Rai, alias Byakul Maila. The music is composed by Amber Gurung. The national anthem is simply worded, praising Nepalese sovereignty, unity, courage, pride, scenic beauty, progress, peace, cultural and biological diversity, and respect.

I'm a 15 years old student and in a students company from Germany which is helping to rebuild destroyed school's in Nepal after the earthquake in 2015. We're done with 7 of 8 school's in villages we support. Our partner main village is Gati near Tibet. I've been there for 3 weeks with a group of other students and friends, as well as in Kathmandu, Pokhara, Jomsom and many many other towns for a trekking tour afterwards (I saw some really beautiful scenery, but actually you need to go to see it yourself, it's incredible and indescribable when using words). The family in Gati I stayed at had nothing but gave us everything. Nepalis are all so so sweet, I did not meet one unfriendly unwelcoming person. I first had the biggest cultural shock in my life because I always spend my holidays in European countries, yet I got used to everything fast because of all the nice and compassionate people around me 😊

When I was in Nepal, I was at an event and the national anthem played. Everyone stood up, clasped their hand over their heart and proceed to sing this song at the top of their lungs. It was so beautiful and moving to see such pride for their country, the beauty that deserves to be appreciated by the world. At the end of the event, the national anthem played again and everyone ran to the stage and started dancing and singing. The energy radiating from these beautiful people was so inspiring, I hope it never gets lost.

I am Indian (India) American, and this is my FAVORITE national anthem. Actually, I speak a South Indian language, but for some reason it is kinda easy to catch the lyrics (catchy lyrics) and kinda understand. To me, it’s like a 50/50 Chinese and Indian sound or tune (BUT uniquely Nepali of course 😄)…..so perfect. Beautiful blend 💝💗
