This is GREAT!!! BIG time saver! I´ve spent soooo many hours Pitching and tunig vocal takes to harmony for the vocalist to be able to learn them and then record them, this basicly does that in real time. Love it, thanks for posting this and thanks to those who made this Plug-in and gave it for free. Great tool.
Kudos for this video. The calm and personable way in which you explain this is exemplary. So for me you belong to the "First Guard", so to speak. Over the past two years I've tried a number of vocal harmonizing products. I've never been satisfied with the plugins. This free plugin makes a very good impression and the results can really be heard. I will try it out as soon as possible.
Earned my subscription! Im not an expert on music theory or anything and i can pick out harmonies by ear naturally luckily but sometimes i doubt myself, however this is smart right here idk why i didn't think of this. Thank you very much!
I know you’re probably being facetious but just a word to everyone, music is not a “test” there’s no cheating. Do what moves you, do what sounds good to you. Life’s too short to impress people especially in art where it’s supposed to be relief from the constraints of the world elsewhere
Plus if you're using this in a final mix, you're probably not using it as intended. It's clearly a referencing tool more than anything unless you're going to use it as an effect maybe.
Plugin sounds great for working out what harmony should sound like unfortunately tried to install it on pro tools and pro tools complains that plug in needs to be updated to work maybe it isn't 64bit don't know nothing on website to steer me... oh well was good video you did though cheers - Leigh
hello, may I know how to download this plug in? I'm having a hard time to download this one. I can't open it because the file says it's in dll. format and it says it cannot be run in DOS mode. Can someone help me please I am making a music and I wanted to put harmonies in it but I don't know how to, I just wanted to finish what I am making and I just don't want to put it into waste just because I can't finish it.
Just like you, I can also hear harmonies in my head. My main function in my rock band in 1990-91 was harmonizing vocals. I really do love this plugin. It's definitely helpful for many. I'm so used to singing harmonies on my own, but I wouldn't mind using this as well. Like you said, DO NOT use this in your final mixes, no matter how nice it sounds in the mix. The real vocal will always sound better.
Nice video, very helpful, I have been layering my vocals all over and over again, and it sounds way too basic, I hope this plugin can help me improve the way I record my stuff, thank you so much
They have a pretty cheap paid version of this plug-in called pitchometry that gives you a whole lot more control over sound and is way more fine tuneable. I think it was like $60
Thanks for your video... I was wondering if you could listen to Michael W Smith singing Bridge over troubled waters and the part where he sings (sail on silver girl sail on by...) I was wondering if you knew how they got that smooth full shimmering effect sound to the vocals... it's amazing... thanks for your help...
yes absolutely. he's using doubles with panning. there is harmony in there as well. 1. record the lead 2. record two more times - pan one left minus 20 and pan one right plus 20 3. record the lead one more time "whispery" - add slight sample delay 4. record harmony twice - pan one left 10 and one right 10 5. add reverb conservatively without actually replicating it myself, that should get you in the ball park from what I hear.
If you want almost a robotic almost almost robotic sound for your harmony does this still work if you mess with the EQ on it? Or no? Does this plug in work for logic pro?
@producerhat thank you. I am trying to get my voice to sound almost animated in my next song and well I haven't quiet figured out harmonies yet. Mainly because I'm not a super talented vocalists I don't think I'm horrible but I'm not great. Is it possible to learn how to sing vocal throws in tune? You’d have to give me more of an example. Because if you have it on a separate track and are recording on a separate track you should still hear the track with the harmony playing.
Nice video, well explained. I wish they made a harmony plugin that doesnt sound “ chipmunky”… Its like a low res version of the original yet these days we have the tech to transpose without the chipmunk effect as well as the ability to make a hi res copy of the original(but transposed)
I 100% agree. For now and especially for it being free. This is a great solution. But with how good technology and artificial intelligence is getting, I’m pretty sure we’re gonna have a pretty realistic sounding, easy solution here within the next few years.

"Bb minor is pretty much the same as Db major, with the exception of one or two notes". I just love how people not really knowing about basic music theory sounds like they know what they are talking about. TL;DR: Bb minor is the parallell minor key of Db major, and they contain EXACTLY the same notes. Also, investing the time in learning this will get you on good way to actually figuring out the harmony parts without using two plugins.
Ah, gotta love when someone swoops in to school others with a half understanding of theory! Let’s clear this up-what you’re describing is actually an enharmonic relationship between Bb minor and Db major, not a parallel key. And nope, you can’t have both sharps and flats in the same scale. Different notes, same physical space-it’s theory 101. But hey, while you nitpick, I’ll keep helping people actually make music. After 30+ years of music theory, I think I’ve got it covered.
@@producerhatreally? I dunno where you got your theory from. Db major and C# major are enharmonic, but Bb minor is the relative minor of Db. It has the exact same notes, the only difference is that if you play a Db major scale from the sixth degree you will get a Bb natural minor scale. Try to play all the white keys on your keyboard, starting from C, you will play a C major scale. Play all the white keys, starting from A, you will get a A natural minor scale. @johanandre5338 You’re right that Bb minor is the relative minor of Db major, and they share the same key signature. But you decided to get a little petty and attempted to imply a lack of music theory on my part. So my rebuttal is that it appears you don’t quite have your theory as deep as you may think as enharmonic refers to different notes that sound the same but are written differently, like Db and C#. So while they do occupy the same physical space, they’re not exactly the same thing when it comes to notation and function. It’s a subtle difference, but an important one. Theory’s all about the details, right?
