The original purpose of the "sheep head towel" was to protect your ears from the extreme heat of the sauna but its not really necessary unless ur going into the really hot areas like sakura did. Nowadays its used more like a cute accessory. Korea is big on food being a factor in any space you spend an extended amount of time & jjimjilbangs are a great way to spend time with friends or family. To explain a bit about miyeokguk or seaweed soup its a very commonly eaten soup in family settings because its eaten on your birthday & new mothers who have just given birth eat it to help their body with the recovery process
