  • Before and after of cutting out the rear factory muffler and replacing with straight pipes.
    As is the muffler delete is perfectly livable with just a hint of drone cruising on the highway, just adds that nice volume when you step on it.

    Sounds great! I bought my Mom an absolutely gorgeous pearl white 1998 Aurora in 2006 for $3,800. It was a beautiful one-owner(elderly couple, actually) example with just under 60,000 miles on it! She absolutely loved that car! As did I! She drove it daily for the next 6 years putting nearly 60,000 miles on it. When she passed, I was expecting the car to come to me, being that I bought it for her. But my oldest brother got possession of it before I could. He ended up totaling it less than a month later. He fell asleep at the wheel in Utah searching for his estranged girlfriend. Luckily, no one else was involved in the accident. And he only suffered minor injuries. The Aurora was deemed a total loss. No insurance. My brother never did find nor hear from his estranged girlfriend. I never did forgive him for that! Stupid fucker!

    Back in 2002 I bought a 2000 Olds Aurora as my first car ever! It was beautiful, pearl white 20k miles, 20 inch wheels, tints, muffler delete, and 4 Rockford Fosgate subs in the trunk..... Everyone thought I was a drug dealer. 😆 just a punk teen paying 22% interest on their first loan. Man I miss that car!! I had to come to TH-cam after all this time cause I just woke up from having a dream about it for the 1st time in 20years.....

    You still have one of these??! Damn! I'm 44! In my early 20's, I worked at a GM dealer in Toronto, Canada for 6 years as a PDI manager and this was one of my favourite cars to drive! Glad to see this car going strong and sounding soooooo good!

    Just a quick observation, your running about 30 degrees too warm and what’s with the 18AVG/MPG? Should be closer to 24….

      It’s Las Vegas, anything under 220 is considered normal even with a 180 thermostat. The car is also 25 years old never been rebuilt, 17 city mpg is factory estimations anyways.

    Are these reliable?

    • @Uchihadude00
      @Uchihadude00  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes! The only major issue I’ve had is the transmission solenoid going out once I hit 97,000, very common for these cars once they near the 100k mark. Another thing to note is when you’re changing spark plugs, you’ll have to drop the engine or remove pieces next to the firewall since it’s transversely mounted, absolutely zero room to access those spark plugs on the back.
