In the splatoon fan music community, this song is a notorious thing. This is basically the opposite of all chirpy chips songs. A ton of key changes, weird vocal stops, and a single note being played as the only vocal in the chorus. It’s basically trying to combine splattack with metalopod, which works well with C-side, but with the chip tune it sounds really bad. A whole subreddit and discord server voted this as worst splatoon 1 song.

I was going to use Space Invaders at first, but then I realized nyan cat’s aesthetic fit the tone of the song better. Other than that, a very close irl friend of mine ADORES nyan cat, so this was kind of meant for them lol.
