It definitely feels a bit firmer than the 3. So far, I’m loving it and might knock the Boston 12 out of my favorite daily spot.

I’m still working on my 3rd pair of the Speed2’s! I might skip Speed3 and go for this when I’m ready.
The Speed 2 was almost a carbon copy of the 1. I’m finding it wild how you loved the 1 but couldn’t get on with the 2. As a 210lb runner, I’ve put nearly 500 miles in my Speed 2s and they’re still like new. That midsole just keeps on giving!

I had the speed 3’s and realized I had been running in them for 2 years. 😂. Durable shoe.
Love the 3, outsole rubber bit thin. Waring away with the midsole still feeling new!

I loved v1, loved v2 even more (more supportive upper IMO so slightly more stable) and am still finishing a pair of 2’s. I also have a pair of v3 which is still pretty versatile if a little less exciting. I will definitely be picking of the 4 when the pairs I have are done.
I agree with you. The #1 was magic! I thought I was the only one who didn’t like the #3! You’ve given me hope. I may try the #4!

Love the 2. I remember when SJD said something about it seemed slightly more firm than the 1 (I honestly think he was imagining things, as he sometimes does, and comparing a heavily broken in shoe with a new one) and everyone jumped on the idea that the 2 wasn't as good 😂. It was as good.

Love the V3 found it much more versatile than the 1&2 although agree it was at the expense of their ‘edge ‘ and as I have only 100 miles on my current pair of V3 won’t be rushing out to buy the V4 especially at the launch price of £180 here in the UK 😱 ( they’ll be discounted soon)
Laced on a pair (earlier version) yesterday and went on a run. Haven't run in them in awhile...had the original wow experience again. I have A LOT of shoes btw 😁. Currently listening to this review now...on we go....😊

Funny how the shoes feeling changes from one another as I was much more thrilled by the 2 than the 1s (maybe because I got the 1s after the 2s) but the mesh on my 1s has a hole where the 2s haven't... even though I ran 150k more in the 2s (850k counting), I choose more often the 2s than the 1s when doing speed work
OMG this is the review I’ve been waiting for 🎉 Great video Emily. I loved the ES2 but couldn’t get on with the ES3…gave me PF issues for anything over 10 miles. The ES3 also had a winged plate…? But from what you’re saying, this is a redesign…? Hoping they fixed this in the ES4….i only have 90 miles left on my SC V2 and need to replace soon. Desperately want the ES4 to work for me…8mm drop and PWWRUN PB is heaven! Congrats on 20k - you ROCK ❤
Thank you so much David! Yes the es3 had a winged plate but this one is designed differently. It’s thicker, more rigid etc in hopes to create more propulsion and stability!
I bought the 3 on sale just to for the experience and see what all the hype was about. I'm getting this one only for the way it looks. I have the feeling the 3's will become my walking shoes.

Speed 2 was my favourite shoe - skipped the 3 due to adverse reviews - keen to try the 4 once the price is reduced 😊
Speed 1 is almost same as speed 2. Only minor changes in regards to the upper (more ventilation holes and pull tab). That was it. I say they are identical. Though Speed 3 is totally another shoe experience …bad.
I have had all 3 versions of Endorphin Speed before this one. I still have a Speed 1 OG in my rotation (about 200 miles) and I am still amazed how good the shoe was. After that is retired I still have 2 Speed 2 (one of the RunShield version) in box. I got Speed 3 but it doesn't have the agility or bounciness of the original. It is an easy day shoe for me. There won't be a second pair of that version in my rotation. v4 looks good but a lot of reviews are saying that it is closer to v3 than v1/2. I am not excited for that reason. I don't need another daily trainer. I will most likely pass on v4. At this increased price level, I think I would probably pay $30 more and buy ASICS superblast instead after my Speed 2's is out. Buy then SuperBlast will probably going to be discounted :)

I’d be curious to hear your comparison of the speed 1 versus 4 after running in the speed 1 again now (if you still have a pair lying around). Sometimes we have very fond memories of something that gets inflated over time. I remember some cartoons I absolutely loved as a kid (I’m 47 now), and watching them now has me realizing they didn’t age well !
Lol there is probably some truth to that for sure. Though I ran my speed 1s into the ground so they’d probably feel terrible compared to a fresh pair of ES4s anyway 😂
I only had arch problems in the 3's. Have they fixed that?

As much as I love all the good things in Speed 4, its forefoot is a bit tight for me and made me suffer PF. After 50 miles, I decided to sell this wonderful pair 😢
Hi agree with the forefoot feeling flat but I’m still in the speed 3 wondering t upgrade to the 4 but if it’s still flat then maybe not. Anything you recommend very similar with a bit more something under the forefoot? Aiming to run in them for a marathon in 4:30hr Thanks!! X

The 2 felt exactly the same as the 1,the 3 a bit more softer,not a great deal in it. Do you prefer them over the rebel v4 ?

I thought the winged plate debuted in v3? I could be wrong. V3 was too soft for me and bottom heavy. Couldn’t land midfoot in it. Runs were a slog in it.
Yes the 3 had a winged plate, this one is just redesigned to be thicker, it’s more rigid, which is to help with propulsion and stability through the foot strike
You mentioned that your pinky toe was uncomfortable with the Endorphin Pro 3. Did you have that problem with the Speed 3 and does it happen with the Speed 4? I am asking because my right pinky toe does get uncomfortable with the Speed 3 after 50 mins. Thanks!
No issues with my pinky toe in any of the shoes you mentioned!
If I had issues with the heel counter on the 3 agitating my Achilles do you think the 4 will do so?

The 3 is my first exposure to this shoe and I really love it, however, with stability shoes in my rotation, I'm wondering how the 4 compares with regard to stability? The 3 isn't bad, but I don't see a remarkable difference in width, so I'm wondering if the slightly thicker plate might give it that little bit of extra stability from the 3...
I do think it’s more stable than the 3!

Speed 3 was a terrible shoe. How many screw ups did Saucony. Lateral rubbing, mainly that Saucony rand. And "hot spots". Even Kofuzzi complained. And no comfort at all from the midsole.
Puma Deviate Nitro 2 is much more reacitv than this
Doesn't work for everyone. I hate the DN2!
It’s not wide enough for most normal feet. If puma could make an actual normal width shoe they’d be amazing

For me it feels like the Plate works against me in the DN2.
It feels not right or fast for me.
Yup love the puma forever run but the deviate nitro 2 didn’t work for me either.
@@pbnotj1 and i like the Magnify Nitro 2 but also dont like the Deviate Nitro 2😅
