It was. It did quite well in the WTCC and BTCC. I own one with the 1.4 turbo and it’s a fun little car to drive. There’s a company called ZZperformance that makes performance parts for the Cruze/Sonic and they will turn the peppy little saloon into an absolute monster
That's standard behaviour for front wheel driven cars. The rear is always extremely light, you have to balance the slide with the throttle under braking and in corners. As Proczyk once said "a real touring car driver never fully gets off the throttle".

Is weird and interesting to see how different series' cars are setup, wtcc teams seem to purposely set the car up to hop curbs and do so comfortably, if that was done in a gt3 car i feel something would go horribly wrong
At 0:22 & 2:10 the rear wheel locked up easily, do this lock up will give flat spots on rear tires? And at 0:24 , jump a kerbing & lifted quite high on 2 wheels, is that implying about high centre of gravity? I'm happy if someone could explain the reason behind it. Thank you.
The wheels won’t get big flat spot because there isn’t a lot of weight on the wheel. And the car lifting so high is because it has a lot of grip and jumping a curb while turning very hard at the same time will lift the car up a bit. Search v8 Supercars jumping kerbs and you will see some cool kerb jumping!
Since it is front wheel drive, the rear has to be very stiff in order to get it to rotate through the corners....hence, it will pick up the inside rear wheel when driven aggressively through corners.
@@joe125ful Other way, very stiff to tighten up the rear, that's why it lifts into a corner. Very typical FWD setup, just look up BTCC and watch every FWD car do the same to varying degrees.
The weight distribution displayed is phenomenal love seeing one of my favorite cars kickin arse
Hell yeah man respect the cruze 🫡
That thing looks like an absolute riot to drive...from my understanding the Cruze was an exceptionally competitive and capable platform

Thanks for the upload 👍🏼
Great to see raw track machines in action,
No ABS
No TRACTION CONTROL
*_REAL DRIVING INVOLVED_*
I like the way it jumps on humps
Aussie V8 supercars do too
I like it when my lady's humps jump on my bumps
Oussama BENDHAOU you mean your man?
2:10 It's funny how the front is glued to the ground while the rear is just a complete mess :D
Needs more rear downforce
Trail braking to fight understeer?

Softer tires ,or little mare rear camber
An impressive run and that race car sounds awesome!
So beautiful. I can listening to this all day.
I always like how they ragdoll these cars around. Great footage my friend Bozz
0:24 weeeee
Horrible center of gravity lol
Bravo Bozzy.. Great camera work as always. Fantastic. :)
I drive a 2013 6 speed manual Chevy Cruze. This is what I pretend to be on my way to school.
The things I would do just to get a shot at driving a race car IRL
Lol same 🤦♂️
Build one or buy a cup car
This turned out to be really good watch! Thank you Bozzy!
Wow those wheels locked soo hard
FWD and standing on three legs like a dog taking a piss.
The best performance by Chevrolet Racing 🏁🏁🏁
I love the Chevy Cruze. I don't care what anyone says.
We are in this together ❤️❤️❤️
Me too
My dad has one

Having a 1st gen cruze this makes me happy as a car guy lol
same LOL, at least our shitboxes are fast in some sort of way
The second generation Cruze is MEH

That's FWD getting it on ;-)
Looks like fun!

Almost looks like me when I'm late for work. I'm a little faster though, JK lol. I need that wide body on my Chevy Sonic, the motor also.
Hi and thanks Bozzy 👍🤗😎
*_I wamna build my GFs 2017 Lt Cruze into this 😭 so we can go to track dags together 😆 Her in the Cruze & me in the Civic.👨🏽🔧_*
buy her a bnr or turbobay turbo and tune it with bnr
What engine Is this car using
Does anyone know why they are running I’m sure it’s most likely not an exotic engine but it would be nice to know
It's so cute 🤣 I really want to do this with my Cruze. 😂 Omg that would be fun AF it must happen
Nice motor
Hauling ass in the Chevy Cruz, dope ! hahaha

*watches this KNOWING my Cruze LS would NEVER be this cool but I would wish it would*
is there something wrong with the suspension? Seems way too stiff, and losing a bunch of grip not having all 4 tires on the ground? idunno

That's how FWD touring cars handle.
Need that wide body for mine
Peccato la 24h series di venerdì prossima sia chiusa al pubblico 😭😭
My cruze tells me I can't go faster than 112 mph lol this cruze is pretty slick tho.
5:29
WARNING!
unable to push. No grip available
Sigue siendo un lindo auto el Cruze , pero no pudo con los Peugeot C -Ell
Porfect
Bello!
Why no more videos with binaural audio?
I wouldn't want to hit them apex bumps any harder.....
Piff Paff brap
How can a car like this handle so bad? Bad weight distribution + suspension way too stiff?
It's front wheel drive. There's hardly any weight on the rear axle.
I bet dampers is too soft...

@@angus3963 Ok,iam not expert on this.
Thx!

Woww👍👌😊
Fast dev
The wind will blow y over no thanks
1.6 Turbo,heheheheh:):)
I realize my old Mercedes AMG have nearly 3X bigger engine..
No ABS? must be fun with understeering also why is so jumpy?
Pfffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff POP!
The cruze does pretty decent 0 to 45 ish stock but its still a turd lol 1st to 2nd gear is too big of a jump in my opinion
LOL!!!!!! It's okay not a front wheel drive fan it will never beat RWD car on the track
Have you watched ANY BTCC, WTCC, WRC?!
