The other warthog came back ramming his buddy because he thought there was a predator on him, many animals (even cross species) will come to the defense of another in distress if they have offensive capabilities. Unfortunately for him, he didn't know he should have called for the rhino to come ram your tree and try to knock you out.

Not sure how you do it in all my hunting I can count on my hands how many game I've had in spear range , and that's not counting that I hit them. Very valid means to hunt it should be allowed, maybe have to pass a test to make sure you practice, but extremely lethal and ethical in a good spearers hands.

Biggest arrow I've ever seen!
I have 2 african spearheads, which I believe to be fairly old, like pre-ww1 era or earlier. One is a pound in weight, as broad as my hand with thumb included, and as long as my forearm without the socket. The other is about 50% larger. Often wondered what they were used for, since the sockets are very narrow, about half an inch. But seeing you posted up in a tree they start to make sense, the weight and width ensures a quick kill with little effort.

Bow starts this month in some of the southern counties, it's October were I am in the Panhandle.
I tried to watch but can't, feel so bad for animals as an animal lover, but I do understand it's all controlled in order for all species to survive. Victory outdoors mentioned you that's why I came here. The fishing I don't mind.
