Regarding the low price of congress, that's the carrot, you can't ignore the stick. The Israelis will fund your opponent, smear you, etc, even to the point of threatening your family or taking your life. I know this because I tried to run for congress three times and all three times my life was threatened. They don't fool around. Another control method they use is Epstein style blackmail. The purchase price of congress is only one strategy of the many being used.
