In the old day (when we were kids with no money) we would take an old 5' pipe and run the chain through it and then hook it tight on both ends. That kept it from rolling into the back of the pickup.
I've done that a few times. Thought about that this time but decided to try it this way. I used to have a pipe just for that

Not a doubt in my mind but I will admit I thought the trailer was still hooked up and thought you might spin a little on the grass. It's amazing what these trucks can pull/tow.

I thought it would work. We used to move equipment around like that using Steve Sherwood's method - well casing pipe with the log chain running in that.
I've don't that once or twice. I was more worried about traction and the turns

Pretty damn gutsy... I have to admit I was pretty nervous, the potential for something bad to happen was definitely present and could have really messed up the truck! That took some big balls! Safe travels & God bless

Parting out the tractor....I'm having SemperFi Transport thoughts of re-purposing the fuel tanks as aux fuel tank(s) for use on the pickup truck, and grabbing that air tank for use on the pickup truck as well! :)

Mr.c farm what type of FLD Freightliner that tractor is and is that a straight -10 trans what size bonk is it single or double and most of all is the ❤️ a Detroit-60series?
Fld 120, set back axle, midroof sleeper , straight 10spd with 3.70 rears and 435 N14 with a 525hp ecm (Midwest ecm said it was maxed out at 465hp until i upgraded injectors but never got around to it) . Was a dang good truck for a long long time
