Never realized how much of variety this song has. It starts off with a reggae beat then it transitions into a bubbly pop chorus then it does a complete 180 and transitions into a catchy-booming trap beat. The versatility is insane

They are still the best girl group in kpop today but it was just cut short. Their disbandment happened at the peak of their success.
It's ok if this song was not for you. This was very experimental at the time it was released . To fully appreciate 2NE1 songs, you need to watch their live performances. Come Back Home also has an acoustic ballad version which I also recommend watching the live performance version than just listening or watching the lyric videos. When the song came out it was mindblowing both visually and sonically for me (definitely not sth that was done a lot in kpop at the time)... A few years back I stumbled on the acoustic live version which doesn't have the drop.. I have to admit that the drop missing contributed hugely to me starting listening to the song again, also their vocals live are more clearly individually cool

Cl is amazing. You should watch the Tribute stage of them singing come back hone live and acoustic. Its crazy how vocally skilled they are. Especially Bom, CL and Minzy. Dara doenst have that Range. But she fits pretty well with her autotune soft notes!
Honestly, i prefer the acoustic version. As a new kpop fan, i have a problem with old 2ne1 and Bigbang songs... i could like the melody but the instrumental seems so outdated with the synth for me that i can't completely like the song.

It's almost like you actually miss the entire experience with the original audio in comparison. These are the things that all kpop girl group do at that time, but then 2NE1 came, the badass, no short shorts, no pretty hairstyles, not acting cute or sexy. They are badass! Jeans, tuxedo, baggy pants, spikes, piercings, and weird hairstyles. 2NE1 literally broke the conventional blue print of a girl group, may it be in music or appearance.
