happy late birthday! i don’t any watch makeup tutorials anymore but i watch every and all your videos i love your makeup and everything you use! i think you feel the time pressure because of all the social media in our day to day life. when i limit what kind of media i intake the time thing isn’t so scary anymore but the biological clock thing is super scary and i do feel pressure but only from the worlds viewpoint not mine. i hope you had an amazing birthday 💗
aw thanks for watching 💖 yeah I guess that makes sense, I def try to limit my intake somewhat / really curate the list of people I watch cuz otherwise it’s just an endless time suck LMAO. as for the biological clock fear I meant to also add the caveat that it’s because I really want to have children (eventually) so then if I plan backwards I’m like dang I need to be finding “the one” THIS SECOND!!! but life doesn’t work like that HAHA
I 100% resonate with your birthday anxiety, I feel the same. I've always felt uncomfortable around birthdays and new years - I also absolutely cannot stand hearing clocks tick because it feels like I'm cataloguing every second going by. I think a lot of it is the feeling that I should have achieved more in the year before, or worrying that the next year won't bring the changes that I want and it leaves me feeling stuck and like I'm running out of time. I think then the reason the attention feels unwanted is i don't want other people to notice that about me too, like they will realise I'm not where I should be in my life. I'm not sure how best to ease that anxiety but I think mindfulness and trying to focus on what is actually happening as opposed to what *might* happen or what in your mind *could/should have happened* , is a good start. If you can try as much as possible to stay in the moment and just experience the day for what it is, instead of putting it in relation to the whole year, or that whole part of your life. Hope that helps xx
yesss exactly, also that makes so much sense!! I think it does come down to feeling like I haven’t achieved enough yet. But I’m also quite optimistic for what I will achieve in the future!! What u said is really good advice, I actually think this bday I felt better than previous ones bc I almost “took it less seriously” haha and that allowed me to be more present. Anyways, thank u for taking the time to comment, I hope u enjoy ur next bday a lil more too ❤️
great comparison!! def super similar, I just checked and the Lilybyred is def cooler (more blue toned) & has more of a white base to it! I would also say the PLouise is a tiny bit more pigmented (as most western products are). they r close enough to be effective dupes tho. Tbh I still love the Plouise blush range more bc they have quite a few unique pastel shades & they also have brighter/more pigmented colors of the same type (like five diff versions/saturations of cool pink LOL) so a deeper skin tone could use those for a similar effect unlike the ranges available in k-beauty!
I just discovered your channel and watched a few of your videos ... I love your product reviews and subtle eye looks ... and you share my love of glittery eyeshadows! Lol. I loved the look of the PLouise blush you used so much I immediately followed your link to order it on their website and I was delighted to find they are presently selling these blushes for £6 each if you buy a 3 blush bundle (instead of £15 for one blush if you buy a single blush) ... of course I picked up the 3 blush bundle and can't wait to receive it! Tysm for the recommendation. New subbie. ❤
happy belated, Stacy! another great look you pulled off; i will definitely check out that huda palette now hehe. really thankful that as a beauty influencer you spoke against the dark side of beauty - trends and how people can lose themselves in being defined by what comes and goes. your sharing reminds me of the Social Dilemma and what is behind the pictures- dissatisfaction and unhealthy views of themselves. it's almost as if you unveiled the person behind the make-up as you put on your make-up. really good reminder for me to be content and comfortable with who i am. interesting that i say that because i started following you during a time i was not happy with who i was, but glad that i have turned around. and ironically, your video reminds me of the beauty in a person as well as outside. your channel continues to stand out for such comprehensive content- not just a beauty routine, but a beauty philosophy. looking forward to more of your vids!
thank u mindy, ur comment really touched me 🥹💗 also everything u said was so well phrased!! it’s really easy to compare to what u see on social media (highlight reel vs behind the scenes etc) and get all caught up in it, so i feel like it’s vital to take that step back and just reflect on ur own values without all the outside noise/influence sometimes. Also I’m glad u feel a lot better now! Thank u for truly seeing me and my intentions❤️
happy birthday stacy, i definitely notice the difference in the camera, your skin looks amazing !!! i'm the person who is so insecure about my pale skin, it's so hard to accept myself. my mom and nana are always telling me i need to fake tan, my nana told me 'being pale is ridiculous'. in ireland the more tan you put on the better (but most people are terrible at applying it tbh) i just wish the melanin in my huge freckles was distributed more evenly across my body lol. anyways i think its so easy for me to see beauty in others but easy to see flaws in myself, its a long road to self acceptance
thank u ava!! also see that’s crazy to me bc from ur pfp u look so beautiful and in East Asia u would be considered like the pinnacle of beauty !! 😭🩷 But yes it is very hard to like see past what you’ve been ingrained with, I wish everyone could just magically love themselves but it is def takes a lot of hard soul searching work
Happy Birthday Stacy!! This eye look is stunning and I’m so jealous of your skin! I’m also the same regarding birthdays and the passage of time. It brings anxiety but it’s also nice to celebrate birthdays too. So I relate. I also wanted to try those lip oils, they looked so pretty!

happy birthday beautiful 🥹 i empathize w everything you said about birthdays, but i hope u were able to have a really wonderful one despite all that!!! also ur hot take about the black liquid eyeliner made me giggle i always feel so naked whenever i try shadow liner idk why but i feel like it doesn’t look good on me 😭 maybe because it’s less precise so for me i feel like it often comes out messy when i try to do it myself?? (not that my liquid liner is perfect either) i’m gonna give it another try tho after watching this hehe
Belated Happy Birthday, Stacy!! I feel the same way as you when it comes to the passage of time, adulthood, feeling like a kid trapped in an adult's body! Probably unsolicited but I didn't realize I was older than you until you mentioned your age bc you appear very eloquent, wise, and self-aware, and it really came through in this video with the topics you talked about. Sometimes I think about how you're well on your way to success with your TH-cam channel, growing so quickly (I found you when you had 3k or 4k subscribers, I think?) while I'm turning 26 without much to show for it!! I hope you don't worry too much about your life and successes bc (and this is something I try to tell myself a lot too) you may be 24 but you're also only still 24, there's still so much time for you to grow and achieve, and to us you're already doing so well 💜 (also, love the look you did as always, super ethereal and pretty!)
aww thank u sm also for always watchin my videos and supporting me 💗 yeah I’m learning more every day that everyone moves at their own pace in life, and it doesn’t make sense to compare to other ppl’s journeys bc they arent u !! 💖

The Dior lip oil leaves a tint behind! Happy birthday! So glad you posted a video. I also love this palette and love using the pinks! Also, I'm a very, very fair yt person, so I like hearing when fair/ pale skin is considered beautiful, but I will say that I think yt skin 'tanned' is still a different type of tan than a slightly darker natural skin tone, if that helps you at all put into perspective? Also, we have different hair colors to match w/ it... for example, I think blonde hair could go better with tanner yt skin than pale since it wouldn't wash u out. Idk. :) I still love your videos!

I am late on this but your GRWM chat was really interesting. I don’t get stressed by my birthdays - more by my parents now that they are older as it becomes more obvious you are on a clock for how long you will have them in your life (mine are 66). I don’t celebrate new years though as I hate the concept as opposed to living in the now and moment everyday. On beauty standards I am not Asian but I have see the difference here in oz due to our demographics and can be inspired by both. But it can be a little funny to see when you have some with umbrellas to protect the skin whilst others are sun bathing to be tanner (then you get those like my mum who is naturally tan but doesn’t go out walking without her umbrella for the sun). I used to feel the impact of beauty trends more like people making out my nose was big compared to the ideal when I was young and now I don’t care what they think at all as I see it as a tapestry of my family heritage and you can see my ancestors in how I look ❤
yes everything u said is so true! also love ur last sentiment abt how it’s a sign of ur heritage, it reminds me of the quote “your existence is proof that generations of your face have been loved” (as cliche as that sounds it’s such a good way to shift ur mindset I feel) I’m really glad that u have come to learn to appreciate those features 💞💞
I’m 10 years older than you but still relate to what you’re saying! I also got made fun of for my full lips and flatter nose as a child and young Asian teen in a mostly Caucasian town. I felt unattractive until I got older and the same white people said I was pretty. Beauty standards for society change with our maturity level and trends.
yess exactly that’s why having a sense of self is so important so that u can withstand those ever changing trends and still feel confident in spite of them 💓
Can't get over how gorgeous you are!!!
this is so sweet thank u!! 🥰

yes everything u said is so true! also love ur last sentiment abt how it’s a sign of ur heritage, it reminds me of the quote “your existence is proof that generations of your face have been loved” (as cliche as that sounds it’s such a good way to shift ur mindset I feel) I’m really glad that u have come to learn to appreciate those features 💞💞
