Nice man, well done. Watching your videos were part of the reason I tried out the combine. I use the TOS/ Tst combo as well.
I just started the pro account this week, but caught none of that move this morning and was basically flat after two trades.

Nice. Except there is no need to tweak your strategy for position sizing because you are using mini’s. Just trade micro’s and then you can do the same strategy?
Yes I could use the micros. I even preached that before, but keep using minis because I think I have enough risk with the $3k daily loss limit. For me it’s really avoiding adding too many contracts. Wish topstep had an option to limit number of contracts traded that only they can control for you
@@BrianWeber I think as a trader we should be in control of how many contracts we can enter. Risk should be calculated before entry. If we are responsible there isn’t any need for topstep to babysit us. If things are flying too fast for us to know our risk I’d create an excel calculator to speed things up.. It just depends on how serious we are about trading to win

Exactly Matt!! I used to trade NQ and had to move back to ES bc price action was insane when vix moved over 25 😂. I’m sure I’ll pass step 1 this time around just have to take it slow 😎

Brian are you regimented enough with your rules I watched the previous video and you said you made a seven contract trade and said you didn't know why you did that so how often do you break your rules and what kind of success you been having the last 12 months?
Hey William! That kind of situation doesn’t happen often especially after I hired a mental game coach to help stop myself before I would make the same mistakes, ie hold a losing trade too long, too much size, etc. Yet the old habits still creep up every now and then, but the effects aren’t as severe. When I recognized what I did I instantly exited the trade and walked away for a few minutes. Trading is such a constant learning process knowing yourself.
In the last year I had good success trading micros in my AMP account. But took a break for several months once I had given back 2 months worth of profits in the covid volatility. I used that time to reset and learn. Mostly focused on swing trading and investing since I have been achieving an annual return of 30%+ for the last 3 years. That’s where my biggest strength lies over long time periods and wider stops.
I only started day trading futures again with Topstep a few weeks ago, and plan to stick with them as I continue to improve on my discipline to maintain consistency 🤙
