I find that trading is a journey, there are many variables, my psychology, the sum of my psychological makeup interacting with an everchanging market on a daily basis. I have experienced many lessons spanning years on this journey and am only now seeing some light at the end of the tunnel. I have gone through this variation of the cycle you have presented many times and have enjoyed its painful lessons to the point where it finally clicked that the results of entering this cycle are not the results I am trying to achive. That sounds flippant but it is the language that the emotions understand. When I see the condition that I recognise as the start of that cycle I am reminded of that feeling that results from times I have taken the trade before. I have a feeling that the trade is wrong. Eventually I learn if I pay attention. I have noticed many of these roadsigns along the way: the letting profitable trades run and not close them too soon by grabbing the profit (controlling the fear of losing), taking on too much size for the account that I have (assuming too much risk and stomaching the large drawdown (again fear and its buddy andxiety), learning to manage stops, something that has to be learned in live time, (directly correlated to taking on too much size). Trading too many markets. The lessons go on and on but what they have in common with the sabotoge cycle is that each area of trading can morph into a downward or upward spiral, each a trap and each has to be experienced in order to move on. I can also revert to actions that I think that I have mastered, (overconfidence). I know we all have unique variations in our makeup that make a difference in whether we experience any particular aspect of trading or not, and structured learning may accelerate the pace of moving through. The thing that I have found helps is to reduce the number of variables, stick to one or two instruments and learn how they behave at different times of the day. (Develops patience) Learn the different speeds they move in the active trading hours. You can see it on timebased charts, I like volume candle and tick charts. I stick to index futures and watch how the indexes move as a group. ES is related to NQ,RTY,YM. I trade swings and levels looking for intraday turning points and when I see price approaching it I watch for candle behavior that confirms direction. That's why I like tick and volume charts, they show what the sentiment is at that particular point in time. I am interested in about 20 point moves so I tailor the tick or volume size to the instrument that gives me the time I need to digest the information before me. It's been long road and I find it takes time to develop a trading style that is tailored to my liking and the process constantly evolves. Anyway that's how it works in my world, maybe I belong to the Society of Slow learners, but from the looks of things I am not alone!

u should name ur TITLE TRADOVATE, so people know what platform ur talking about and no waste time watching ur video.

i i use vwap,footprint, comulative delta what do i need to do to be able to replay a session like it was a real trading day. And i also want to trade the market when i replay. I want to create a simulation of a normal trading day.

Unfortunately tos won’t let you scan using tick. I wonder why 😂. I use 1000 ticks. Too often my scanner will find a stock with high volume 1 million plus and it only has 1 bar on the tick chart.

This is AWESOME, since AMP absolutely SUX at showing what to do after signing up. What is the "Live Trading Setup - Cash Index Data"? I'm trying to look up what this is and can't find it anywhere. (I mean - they can't even have a frikkin simple tooltip question mark?!). I already have a bad impression of AMP from this - but we'll see... If I could ever finish setting this stuff up!

please help. With TS Trader, how the heck do I prevent the ridiculous magnet that shifts my chart back to it's beginning, which prevents me using my mouse to put the chart where I want it?

To see trend changes, tick charts are better than time settings (esp with Heiken Ashi candles)... but the 1-day ATR setting with range bar charts are even better.
