- Another Race of Gentlemen extravaganza went off without a hitch on the Jersey Shore recently, and amongst the sand-covered madness we’ve put together a brand new Hop Up TV episode showing some of the things behind the scenes, alongside some good ol’ fashioned rooster tails and flathead action.
We follow Oilers CC/MC member and owner of 1945 Speed & Custom, Jeremy Baye, as he preps his alcohol-injected Dodge to attack the sand, we chat with Sondre Kvipt from Kustomrama to learn about Customs By The Sea and the encyclopedia itself, and we also sit down with TROG jefe Mel Stultz for a beer in the hot tub. - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ

That is because N.J. doesn't want the races there. Better to a place like GA and do it at Tybee beach it's still a red state or Corpus Christi, TX.

Closed early both days after riders down - I wouldn't say that was "without a hitch". Luckily, both riders made full recoveries. I'll be headed back for the races this year. Gonna feel bad for the flag gal - October at the beach is gonna be a bit nippy

I've got a couple of questions... Firstly, i'm a mechanic of 18 odd years now- so i have a fairly good understanding of cars in general. Now, why iis it that so many of these solid front i beams have one wheel that has jacked up camber angle. This one obviously has quiet a lot of positive camber on the front R/H wheel and a fairly neutral camber angle on the L/H wheel. Was this just the way they were manufactured to account for any crest in the centre of the road ( roads weren't necessarily flat back then). I mean even these days there's different wheel alignment on each front wheel for the same reason. It's just not as obvious. 2ndly, why do these vehicles never have locked diffs? I would have thought the extra traction would be worth the hassle of driving a locked diff vehicle.
The problem with locked diff is broken axles. Even though the metals were better back then, it would not stand up to locked rear ends, and also the rear hubs were on a taper, not a spline like now days.

Dean, yes that would be the obvious explanation on An Oval / Round track, but they are running on the beach, so it may an attempt to compensate for Torque, just trying to go straight in the sand with lots of HP.

You need to look into having a ballast box just in front of the rear tires.
Or a couple of bags of cement.Too easy (and cheaper).
How hard is it for TH-camrs to just not have music during racing so we can hear the engines? Also too much talking, I just tuned out when you were talking to the guy from Norway.

Nice, cars should be driven not parked up, it would have been great to see some more of the ladies dressed out in the 50's and 60's gear, I saw a few in the background of some shots they really add tot he vibe.

If Quentin Tarentino hears you using his Dusk Till Dawn music- he is gonna let you know. Sounds like my logic. This car is lighter with twice the horsepower. The other car was fast, but this one will be faster. The least amount of shit to make it work. Problem solved...... That look like good ol' American fun.

All these so called traditional Hot Rodders in the scene today - even the douchebags in Hop Up. We did't see any of these 4 or 5 years ago. I'm sure most were in to Drifting , last week. Where were these guys back in the late 1980s or even 1990s when only 10 young greasers out of OC and Riverside were doing this stuff. Today, you have drag races on the sand , and try your hardest to look like Dick Van Dyke or Dennis Gage!
