I didn’t know the charcoal at the bottom would help absorb excess moisture. That is a great tip because I was using coconut husk or Leka in the bottom and I was putting charcoal through the mix.
Sometimes I do both. But for houseplants that are sensitive to excess moisture a 2-3 inch layer of charcoal at the bottom really helps
Beautiful plant! Love your videos! I just got a philodendron Jose buono and I’m so in love with those beautiful variegated leaves, highly recommend 😉
Aww, thank you! … and congrats also love variegated leaves 🌿
Tyler don't know if you've seen them yet there's a Prismacolor Lemon Lime Philodendron. It grows upright not vining! I found one this morning at Home depot. I honestly thought it was a Golden Goddess when I saw it. Check them out, think you'll love it 😍
Good to know
I just saved one from the 99cents only store 7.99..needs lotsa rehab!!
You look great
I have one about a year old that has grown! Im gonna stake it now! Thanks
Count on bigger foliage!
I have this plant and she is growing like a weed 😁 Thanks for the info and your plant is beautiful ❤️
Ah! Awesome 👏🏽
Thank you for the info! How big of a pot should this philo be in? Mine is a bit small, unstaked and she’s growing wonky but very strong!
Keep the pot size only slightly larger than the rootball to avoid root rot and as it grows, when you repot, you can slowly over time increase the pot size.
Some of my lower leaves have some kinda brownish/yellowish specks going on. Looks like some discoloration going on. But other the that, she seems very healthy and putting off a ton of new growth! Any advice?
I think I would need to see it to have a better clue as to what may be happening.
