- Acrylic pouring: Fluid art
My pouring medium used for my current work is a pre mix of 70% “Mont marte clear craft glue”and 30% warm water, (most pva glues can be made up with same ratios to make a pouring medium), I add my pouring medium to my paint slowly until I achieve the consistency of pouring cream, approximately 50/50 more pm if needed.
My paint brands varying but mostly use the Mont marte studio acrylics, or pouring paints.
When iv mixed my paints I add 2-4 drops maximum of Helmar silicone, also Australian made, I stir in well.
I always like to mix up my paints and add silicone the day before I’m going to paint and cover with a damp cloth, as iv found I have much better results.

I'm so sad about the fires in Australia. I hope it will all stop soon! I live in California and we've been hit from fire in all parts of the state. We've had about the number of deaths as Australia in one town It's horrible. Be safe. My birthday was January 2, 2020. Happy birthday. I think you are right about leaving the painting alone, as is. I think it also looks like a blue mountain with the radiant brightness of God surrounding the mountain, protecting it. I love how your pour turned out. It's really significant..

Gilly i'm from the UK and a retired Nurse who is now Quarantined. I'm now disabled with a few illnesses which frustrates me a great deal. Iv'e always wanted to be artistic but the closest i came to that was learning to knit from my Mum back in the mid 80s. I was in bed last night watching you do a pour and you were talking about the 'keyboard warriors' and nasty 'trolls'. I so agree with you about that. I must admit that i started watching an older lady from the US doing different things and she's what i call a 'faffer', i don't mean to be disrespectful because i love some of her stuff but she will do something and it's stunning and then she starts to faff about with it and i start shouting at her to leave it alone but more often than not she is correct in her 'faffing'. I came across you by accident and am now hooked. I was up until 3.30 this morning watching you but then i thought what does it matter, we're all stuck indoors anyway.
This one i just watched is the day before your Birthday and you did a pour through the colander. You said you thought it looked like an Indian headress and it did but the more you moved it about i saw the sea and possibly a reef or even at one point it looked like a Vertibrae but all coloured. Do you do any other techniques other than the pouring and swiping. I do like the little balloon kisses sometimes, it can really change a part that you didn't think needed it.
I am hoping to at some point with some help to get my spare room cleared out and attempt to start doing some of this artwork. You have really inspired me.
Sorry to go on for so long, doesn't help being indoors on your own for the last 6 weeks. first i had isolation as my friend got the virus and i was with her and the day i was going to be allowed out Boris put in the Lockdown.
Well i have more washing that won't wash itself so i had better get on with it.
