- TH-camr Dominique Sachse is a powerhouse. I'm so glad I was able to talk to her about midlife and reinvention.
Dominique was a longtime news anchor on Houston's KPRC 2 News and in October 2021, chose to retire at 54.
What's next for Dominique? Well, she's writing a new book called “Life Makeover: Embrace the Bold, Beautiful, and Blessed You.” It will be released on April 5, 2022. She's also continuing to grow her presence on social media, especially her TH-cam channel which has more than 1.5 million subscribers.

Great chat with Dominique! As a long time youtube follower, I can say first hand that she is as sweet and genuine in person as she comes across on screen. Two years ago, I was the lucky winner of her "new year, new you" giveaway. She flew me to Houston from Indiana and treated me to the most amazing pampering that I have ever experienced. Even more than the new hair, make up, facial, & dress etc was definitely the caring way she communicated that "I'm worthy of time invested, and I'm worthy of feeling good about myself" It set me on a path of better self esteem and self care (40lb weight loss, eating healthy, & yoga!) which has had a huge impact in every area of my life. I consider her a friend, & I am a forever grateful fan.

As I said in an earlier comment on FB, Dominique is like the friend we all wish we had, she is such a beautiful person inside and out, such an inspiration to us all, I could listen to her soothing voice all day long, but more than anything she shows us that she cares for her subscribers and others and shows us that life is not over when you become a certain age she sees beauty in everything and I know since I have started watching her videos I have become a much more caring and understanding person, and I love the fact that her videos are so informative in may ways not just in the field of beauty but many deeper issues we woman can face in life, I hope she continues to do many things and share them with us, she is blessed and we are blessed to have her and long may it continue thank you Tamsen Fadal great video I wish you the best xx

Women never knew how to network like men have I realized as I go back to the 1970’s in corporate America. I have found that we haven’t improved much in 50 years and I blame no one other than ourselves. We must empower each other and you Dominque and this video is fantastic. I’m grateful for you and for having these hard discussions. I always used my femininity to advance and making impact. Thank you, thank you and many more thank you’s to keep on this path with such style and grace for women empowerment.

Hi Dominique , I am a newcomer to your fabulous TH-cam channel as of yesterday and I must give you big compliments on everything I have watched so far and I have also learned some pretty helpful ideas and as a true German I am always amazed that I am continuing to learn the older I get. I used to have a magnet on my refrigerator saying that you can always tell a German but you can’t tell’em much lol 😆 I thought that I would mention that since I watched the show with you and your beautiful ,energetic and fun mom. Listening to the two of you while you were applying her make up and talking about your wonderful past ,suddenly I heard your mom explain how she met your mom in Hamburg and so on. I am from beautiful Bavaria ,sorry to say that I left my very picturesque city of Würzburg and my lovely family because I met a American man. It was a big mistake, I lived in California for years then 8 years in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Currently I am living in San Antonio, Tx , practically neighbors. I studied cosmetology in Germany for 3 yrs and became a stage makeup artist for the theater, at age 16 I also became a model for a French company. I continued modeling when I got to LA and besides all that I got into the recording business and many other things.
I have always been very busy and being bored is not in my vocabulary. As I was listening to your energetic mom as well as you, I realized that I am cut out of the same wood. I love all of the things the two of you talked about and I had a chance today while doing my artwork a few more sessions and truly enjoyed every minute of it and I will watch all of your tapings over time. TH-cam is a great source of a million good things to watch or listen and the beauty of it is that I can do anything I want and get the benefit of gaining wisdom ! I make it a point to learn at least one new thing each day, something I never knew before. The school of life is a school I will never graduate from !
I come from a very artistic family and I am exactly how my mom was and I am so happy that so many goodies were past on to me, I feel blessed ! The reason I talk about myself is because I have never met a person like your mom in all my years in the US, I always had the feeling that I didn’t fit in. I came straight from Mexico to San Antonio because I have studied history all my life and growing up in Germany presented my taste for culture and I read everything about the rich culture of Texas, my first time ever here and enjoy the San Antonines while I’m here ! How long I will stay ,only God knows ? I am also a writer and I am working on my colorful biography in several volumes to fit it all in from the time I was 5 until present. I don’t talk about my age because that is not important to me, at age 29 I declared “29 forever” and yes honestly we are as young or old as we feel. My secret is exactly what your mom said and I don’t care what people say about me and my private life. My name is Viktoria .. and as my name stands for victory I love it very much. I hope that one day I will have the honor to meet you and your mom, that would be wonderful. Sorry that my text turned into a small novel lol 😁 I will finish by saying thank for being a inspiration to all of us and I thank your mom for the same. I wish we had more good people like you, oh what a wonderful world this would be ! Good bye, Aufwiedersehn, adiós ! You touch on a real problem with women in the media, aging @Tamsen Fadal. Apart from PBS which has professional women who have aprx. more than 50 years on the air, they are non-existent elsewhere. This is very sad and seriously deserves to be transformed. You should make a video on this issue.
