I feel like he should be paying for that over time. Like, he says they should watch scream as their next series and they "Scream? sounds like feel good series!"
I'm loving how angry the ladies are at Chad. It's hilarious. ST is maybe feel-good nostalgia for those of us that grew up in the 80s, but this reaction series is reminding me of HOW TERRIFIED I was when watching season 1.
It's not as though Chad grew up in the 80s... But this show is more spooky than horror imo, so I think Chad simply underestimated their sensitivity. Or he's mean.
I know I'm weird and am less affected by horror than others, but this series was not what I would call terrifying. And I say this as a kid of the 90s. And I'll die on the hill of defending Chad...it is feel-good, and not just nostalgia feel good. Its just a journey to get there. Except for the end of s2, that was kind of some bs.
yea no, i didn’t grow up in the 80s. I grew up in the 2010s and this is 100% a feel good tv show. All the moments with the kids are hilarious and heart warming. Maybe you just don’t have a heart.🤷♂️
@@AzaMinis Season 1 kinda stands alone in how good the characters are characterized. If it had stuck to being like a miniseries it probably could've gone down as a pastiche classic.
@@AzaMinis Minor Spoiler..... ehh...I respectfully disagree to an extent. While I do agree that she doesn't seem as "present" in later episodes, she does have a very pivotal moment with Nancy in (I think) Season 3. She has a heart-to-heart with Nancy and tells her to "finish the story", ie get it done. It gives Nance the confidence and willfulness to pursue and persist.
Ahh yes a woman who was gonna sleep with a 17 year old boy and cheat on her husband “deserves love” typical female perspective. How about some love for the father who deals with all their bullshit?
Haha if anyone hasn't said anything yet, tbf the first season is scary bc you don't really understand what's happening, once you kinda get the picture you are slowly getting piece by piece, it does become somewhat of a "feel good" story in many ways. Just hope yall don't give up! It only gets better!!
Hilarious how angry Maple and Arianna are at Chad. It seems there's a different experience between people who remember the 80's and people who don't. Can't wait to see the rest of the season.
To give you an idea if that was a good camera they broke was from the late 1970s to early 1980s it might be worth around $300 and the minimum wage in 1983 was $3.35 / HR. I think the person who told you this is a feel-good series is feeling pretty good. If you 2 haven't seen Firefly (2002) TV series followed by The movie Serenity (2005) make sure you watch them in the intended order and not the screwed-up aired order.
It’s feel good! Eyes look sick. At first my brain wasn’t registering what I was looking at and for a fleeting moment I thought Arianna had developed some form of super powers.
@Diegesis I think whoever Chad is said it’s feel good because season 2-3 are very very nostalgic and more like a great 80’s adventure movie with kids like The Goonies. Where as Season 1 has a much spookier and darker tone. It does have moments that are lighter. But a lot of people forget how dark and spooky Season 1 can be at times. Not that there isn’t any dark and spooky moments in future seasons.
The juxtaposition of what was going on in the swimming pool, as opposed to inside the house at the beginning of the episode was striking. As well as being a love letter to the 1980s, this series has genuine characters that one can really care about.
8:16 a tip I learned from a co-worker years ago about storing Christmas lights. Get a piece of cardboard and wrap the lights around it, securing the end with tape.
This first season is the scariest of all the seasons in my opinion and these first few episodes are the scariest but trust me it gets so so much better
Why is everyone so obsessed with the "feel good" comments? They're clearly joking with most of it. For the rest, they're just surprised at how dark this season is.
This is the scariest season. It has all the jump scares. Get through this with your nerves intact and you'll be good, but you'll need your analytical heads on for Seasons 2,3 and 4 👨🔬🤔😎 this show is wild. You're gonna love it ❤
@Diegesis Just a tip save cardboard boxes before Xmas and when you put your Xmas lights away…cut or rip the boxes into squares or rectangles and put two slits in them. Tuck one of the plug end of the lights’ cord in the slit and then wrap around the cardboard. I’ve never had tangled lights.
The funny thing is at the end of all 4 current seasons you'll be thanking chad...for making you witness one of the greatest tv shows ever created,literally..... stick with it ladies its a hell of a ride!!!
I definitely get how this is called a feel good show. But I think thats the later seasons more to me. It stays a horror show throughout but also the core of the show is all about friendship.
I had a pink dress almost I identical to that when I was little in like kindergarten. 😂 (so like 1981)😂 so exactly when this dress would be used. It wasn’t considered formal. Back then little girls wore dresses a lot to school. This show is DEFINITELY feel good to me bc it brings back all the best memories. ❤❤
I’ve never noticed Ariannas eyes before, but man they are amazing. Also, can’t wait for them to get to season 2 and 3, some of my favorite episodes that I really wanna see what they think and how they react. It’s going to be so good lol
Excuse me, what's wrong with librarians? Why can't librarians go on dates and do smeggsy stuff? She looked like she had enough sass to handle Hopper lol.
It struck me on this rewatch, if she's number ELEVEN, then it's a little surprising that the ONE mother they find in the papers is her mother. Presumably they did this a bunch of times.
"Stranger Things" had a unique 1-season idea which they milked for 4 seasons for Netflix money. "Breaking Bad" has a genuine story arc and I can't believe you're watching the 2 together.
I'm not sure I'd ever use 'feel good' to describe Stranger Things. There are definitely light hearted silly moments, but the vibe is more 80's adventure movie, particularly with respect to The Goonies.
We get your feelings of betrayal, but the outrage about it not being "feel good" is kinda confusing at this point. Yes, it's slightly scary sci-fi thriller. Are you enjoying it for what it is? This show is amazing and we want you to love it as much as we do! Hopefully by the end you will.
I'll never quite get how anyone thinks that Stranger Things is a "feel good" show. Sure there's some amazing moments in the show but they are part of a horror narrative that's a throw back to 80's movies and shows. Maybe at the end of a season when it all starts to make sense there's a feeling of "HELL YEAH!" but you still have to crawl through a lot of narrative pain to get there.
@7:24 As a protest against this statement i paused the video for five seconds. If you ever say it again I'll write a strongly worded letter to your parents, and to Santa. Let's see who's talking down on Pepsi then. 🙄
Blue eyed Arianna isn't real, she can't hurt you...
She would be unstoppable 😂
it looks scary
😂😂😂😂
True. Definitely was like wtf is going on before I realized.
I like it
Chad gave us a gift that keeps on giving. Their torture is hysterical.
I keep rewatching just for that lol

Tripping out on blue-eyed Arianna the whole time lol. Like its own mini upside down
Heh I was like why are her eyes soo bright all of a sudden
I get it now. Chad meant he would feel good watching the reactions. What a sicko (lovingly)
Gotta say Mrs Wheeler does not get the love she deserves, she’s a good mum
In season 1, maybe. Afterwards she kinda becomes a stereotypical absent 80s parent.

i’m glad that yall understand why steve broke his camera, Jonathan was wild for what he did😂
Librarians need love too.
The one from Fill Metal Alchemist Brotherhood is my favorite
JUSTICE FOR BARB forever and ever
Now, are we sure that Chad said "feel good", and not "real good"?
the feel good came from 'Nam

It's fascinating how much Matthew Modine can convey about Brenner with so little dialogue.

This cover of Heroes always always always destroys me.
It’s a “feel good” mystery/sci-fi show 😅 Please keep going! LOVE your reactions.
To the freeze during the live stream; it wasn't an edit issue, because it plays fine now. So it was something on the YT side
Answers are coming. Also, justice for Barb!
0:54 bottom right corner, now that’s scary
This is hands down the best Stranger Things reaction series.
Fr?
It is a feel good show, for Chad and us watching your reactions. He delivered.
Arianna's eyes creeping me out more than the Demogorgon.
I LOVE rewatching this with you guys!!!
can't believe such a feelgood show has you squirming in your seats so much
Nice Trapper Keeper in the locker at school. Oh the memories.
Now I remember the first time they played that last song in this series.
I love the Empire Strikes Back reference; Eleven floating the Millennial Falcon like Yoda did
That's some high level trolling right here.
I don’t even know what I’m doing here..
Umm..Yoda floated Luke’s X-wing, not the Falcon..
That moment after you get R-U and you just know what the next letter is gonna be but you still need to see it. It's the best 😁
Good to see the girls getting into feel-good shows.
I definitely get how this is called a feel good show. But I think thats the later seasons more to me. It stays a horror show throughout but also the core of the show is all about friendship.
The actors playing Jonathan & Nancy are a couple in real life and have been together since 2017.😊

Arianna’s eyes are messing with me so much. But I’m also loving your anger at Chad. This was a fun watch, it gets better from here
Justice for Barb! There's a TH-cam song out there somewhere about Barb. Saw it a few years ago.
I watched them back to back as well when they released.
I feel so good right now
And now we return to our regularly scheduled feel-good program.
the demogorgon has got nothing on blue eye ariana, i was afraid to look over the whole time
If these girls ever did an awards show, Chad should get subscriber of the year award.
lol I'm not subscribed

Omfg the eyes Ariana. Jeepers creepers 😂

Oh, so thats were the other piece of my heart went. Blue Eyed Arianna stole it

Once again, the show is "feel-good" based purely on the nostalgia factor and how the characters interact during the lighter moments.
Must have more Strangers Things.
Overall I agree with Chad. This first season is pretty dark and hopeless initially but let the story take you there.
Chad is really living up to his name 😂
Drpepper>Regular pepsi>coca
