I saw that PB of 49.3 and thought it was an excellent time, so I checked the Olympic qualifying standards, and it is insane what they are requiring to qualify for the Olympics (48.58) which usually has been enough to make the semifinals in previous Olympic games. Keep it up, Marcos, such an inspiration.
That's typically how they calculate Olympic cuts - 14th of last year's Olympics! Crazy!
just checked 2024 table, for Olympic trial cut man 100m free is 49.99. you made it!

Don't worry, practice always shows in the pool. The water takes and the water gives indiscriminately, one of the reasons I love swimming. As long as you have fun with the water, and give it all to the water, the water will give back.

Thank you!!! 23.1 is just the 50 split for the 100. Qualifying time for the 100 is 48.3, so about a second off what I just did in this video :)

Hello Marcos, it's me again. I probably have no property in anything regarding swimming competitions, but one thing I can advise you is to take care of your sleep, because even though you work too hard, your body is not going to be able to recover and you probably will make more progress taking rest than working hard. Wish the best to you in this phase of your life.
When you take magnesium for sleep, do you take it in the night or the morning? Does timing matter? Should one take it consistently (every day) to actually see results?
It's amazing to even go under 50!
