My family also does not understand why I am vegan because they do not have any empathy for all living beings, especially animals. As long as you are doing what is right & compassionate in your heart and mind for you and your children, then nobody can pressure you. they will say you are mentally ill bc they can't admit or accept that they are wrong or immoral for eating animals.
