Hurrem was Suleyman’s eyes and ears in Istanbul especially when he was at war away from the capital. He trusted her as his intimate helpmate. This TV series unfortunately shows the exact opposite - all fiction to make Hurrem look responsible for Suleyman’s very difficult decisions.
This also irritates me, because this is just a drama series with very few actual historical facts. Like with Princess Isabella. She actually existed, but never in her life did she meet Suleyman.

Esmanur is also Ibrahims, he let his child live separately so she won't grow up as a subject like him. I think Sultan Suleiman knows Sehzade Mehmet would be unprotected without Haseki Hurrem Sultan and as we see, Sehzade Mustafa arrived there and made bad choices immediately. On top of that, in another episode Sultan Suleiman was speaking to Ibrahim Pasha and said something along the lines of "Mustafa would always be his favourite" With all the recent happenings he knows Sehzade Mehmet leaving can be a problem 🤗 but also Haseki Hurrem Sultan cannot leave the City as she is Head of the Harem and has more Princes to raise. She can visit her son though and I'm sure Sultan Suleiman knows her ability to manage many things at once.
I think Hurrem was the only woman with many sons. Other women couldn't sleep with Sultan anymore after having one son and Hurrem was the only one staying after his son left.

Besides that, the Sultan is having doubts Ibrahim, Mustafa wd Mahidrvan are plotting a rebellion in Birds where Mustafa and her mother are residing. These facts might put Mehmet's life in danger. Hurrem too have the same fears. As for Sulieman his age, stress and health is gaining a toll on his life. And wíth this adds to his fears.

I super like the acting prowess of actors and actressess in this true to life story. They gave justice and life to their roles perfectly esp Sultana Hurrem... Her facial expressions in every situation speak so much even without words.
Sending of helena was the best decision for helena too. Even if he wud've married her ..she had face all the politics,cold wars, fear of death,threats, etc all the time..she was too innocent to face all that.
And her position as the wife of the prince would have made her, paradoxically, weaker rather than stronger, for she wouldn't have had no one's support in the harem and she would always be the "culprit" of Mustafa's whim, who, more than being in love, seems more keen on defying his father's will. Add to that a prince that seems very much aloof regarding his harem and we have the perfect recipe for a disaster. Good for Helena, too, for accepting that harem life is not for her and that she's better off without Mustafa.

He consistently and steadily ignored his fathers wishes forgetting they don’t have the normal father and son relationship. Suleyman was also his emperor. He was defiant towards him many of times regardless if his intentions were pure, even Suleyman didn’t dare ignore his father when he is the sehzade. He didn’t respect Suleyman, he was already making his own decisions like he was the Sultan comparing Suleyman marriage to Hurrem, to his marriage to Helena as though it was the same thing. Suleyman made the decision as the Sultan and ruler of three continents. Mustafa is trying to make the decision as the crown prince, like his ancestors history hasn’t warned him that the majority of first born sehzade don’t get the crown. The audacity and defiance of Mustafa would’ve gotten him killed. Hurrem just sped the process.

Same was with Mahidevran, Sulieman rejected her after incidence but she never stopped going against Hurrem. Never had the spine to stand against her all alone, always hide behind others & when time come she even showed it to everyone she is okay with sulieman being dead so that her son could be on throne.
All these things differentiate Hurrem from Ibrahim & Mahidevran. With power, they both lost themselves but Hurrem knew her power is only sulieman. Without him, she will lose it all unlike others.

On top of that, in another episode Sultan Suleiman was speaking to Ibrahim Pasha and said something along the lines of "Mustafa would always be his favourite"
With all the recent happenings he knows Sehzade Mehmet leaving can be a problem 🤗 but also Haseki Hurrem Sultan cannot leave the City as she is Head of the Harem and has more Princes to raise.
She can visit her son though and I'm sure Sultan Suleiman knows her ability to manage many things at once.
I think Hurrem was the only woman with many sons. Other women couldn't sleep with Sultan anymore after having one son and Hurrem was the only one staying after his son left.

Mustafa didn’t heed sultan Suleymans warning and order regarding Helena, he was ready to disobey his father and his emperor. But one word from Ibrahim Pasha he changed his decision regarding the marriage with Helena. This is one of the many reason Sultan became weary of Ibrahim and Mustafa. The hold Ibrahim had on him and the lack of fear and respect Mustafa had towards Suleyman. He consistently and steadily ignored his fathers wishes forgetting they don’t have the normal father and son relationship. Suleyman was also his emperor. He was defiant towards him many of times regardless if his intentions were pure, even Suleyman didn’t dare ignore his father when he is the sehzade. He didn’t respect Suleyman, he was already making his own decisions like he was the Sultan comparing Suleyman marriage to Hurrem, to his marriage to Helena as though it was the same thing. Suleyman made the decision as the Sultan and ruler of three continents. Mustafa is trying to make the decision as the crown prince, like his ancestors history hasn’t warned him that the majority of first born sehzade don’t get the crown. The audacity and defiance of Mustafa would’ve gotten him killed. Hurrem just sped the process.
Mustafa was disrespectful and talked back to majesty/ father at younger age- such as upset over bow n arrow and the spoon issue- majesty fgave him spoon and he broke it -
I just don’t the logic to blame Hurrem for everything by everyone….Ibrahim cheated on Hatice…& Hurrem is blamed…and that’s not all…Hatice is all lovey dovey with her husband but taking revenge from Hurrem for her exposing…wow! Story writers have added some really illogical parts to this script to make it more dramatic.
