Brings back fond memories. I remember the ABC Friday night lineup fondly: The Partridge Family, Room 222, The Odd Couple, and Love American Style. 1971 was a great time to be a kid!!!

The most perfect version I have ever seen since I've seen on tv 😊 and it has the closet killer at end

I've been looking for this closing theme for several years. NICE! Thanks for posting this. Brings back fond, childhood memories of a much simpler less complicated period. The 70's were a good time for being a kid.

God I dig the horns here! Nobody makes music like this any more. Sooooo miss TV shows having REAL theme music that lingers in the memory and accompanies opening and closing title credits. These days are gone forever friends.

I loved watching L.A.S. every Friday night on Ch. 7 It was a ritual with me 🤗 . And they had some absolutely gorgeous women in their episodes too 😊 .

This was also the Season 3 closing theme. They shortened it for Season 2 as episodes shrank to just 30 minutes each before returning to their original 60-minute format; and in Seasons 4 & 5, they shortened the closing theme as part of a trend all TV shows were following at the time.

For syndicated reruns, the credits were over variously angled close-ups of the show's logo.

It's hard for me the believe that this show continued during 1970. As LAS entered its second season, I was born in October that year. Wow

And with the ever-so-scary closet killer Paramount jingle at the end......

Dominic Frontiere has been attributed as composing the end logo "Closet Killer" theme. Does anybody know why it's called the "Closet Killer?"

"Samuro Mitsubi & Tawisaki Kwi" were actually GARRY MARSHALL & JERRY BELSON, who wrote virtually all of the "blackout gags" during the early seasons of the series.

Garry Marshall and Jerry Belson were the developers and executive producers of _The Odd Couple_ (1970 TV series), though Belson was only the executive producer for season 1.
