    The goat bro! But what do u think I should do with my hair every time I wake up instead of moisturising and then picking it because it gets really flat with my bonnet on and I have to go to school

    • @itscarltonrose
      @itscarltonrose  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you!
      Is your hair already done the night before? Do you style it once a week?
      Instead of picking my hair, I reshape my hair with my hands first! Next I shake my hair to give it the shape I want for the day.
      If needed yes you can moisturize it by spritzing it with water and adding in a styler (gel, leave-in etc).

    Great vid! But what should I do if I only have leave in?

    • @itscarltonrose
      @itscarltonrose  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks, fam! If you’ve only got a leave-in on hand, no stress. Here’s a quick game plan for you:
      • Step 1: Start with damp hair. If you’ve just showered, perfect. If not, spritz some water to get it damp but not soaking.
      • Step 2: Apply your leave-in generously. Work it through your hair using your fingers, ensuring it’s evenly distributed.
      • Step 3: Use the ‘praying hands’ method to smooth down the hair and enhance curl definition. This just means pressing your hands together (like you’re praying) with your hair sandwiched in between.
      • Step 4: Do the shaking session or scrunching to encourage those curls to form and bounce up.
      • Step 5: Let your hair air dry or use a diffuser if you’re tryna speed things up.
      Even without the full arsenal, you can still get some lit results. Give it a shot and let me know how it goes!

    I have like really dense hair and I know its low porosity and stuff and when i grew out my hair I had no idea it could turn this curly! Ive restarted completely and hope that mines can curl like yours Thanks for this vid :) Also how long did it take for your hair to reach that length?

    • @itscarltonrose
      @itscarltonrose  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That sounds like a voyage of discovery right there! It’s super exciting to watch your hair evolve and embrace its natural curl, isn’t it? I respect that you took the bold step to restart and are optimistic about this new journey. To answer your question, it took a solid couple of years to reach my current length - patience and consistent care were my best pals during the journey. Remember, every curl has its personality, so keep nurturing yours and you might just be surprised at the curls that spring forth! Stay tuned and keep me posted on your progress; I’m rooting for you, dude!

    How to you maintain your curls? When I do this method my hair looks really good but after I sleep and wake up the next day it’s all ruined. How do I keep it from messing up?

    • @itscarltonrose
      @itscarltonrose  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Man, I feel you on the morning hair struggle. Keeping those curls fresh overnight is a whole game, but I got you. Here's the play-by-play:
      1. **Moisturize Before Bed**: Before you call it a night, spritz your hair with a little water or a leave-in conditioner. It helps in maintaining the curl definition.
      2. **Pineapple Method**: If your hair's long enough, gather it into a loose ponytail on top of your head. This "pineapple" method prevents your curls from being crushed while you sleep.
      3. **Wear a Bonnet**: This is key, my guy. Slip on a silk or satin bonnet. It reduces friction (which causes frizz) and helps retain moisture. If a bonnet ain’t your vibe, a silk or satin pillowcase can also do the trick.
      4. **Morning Refresh**: If you notice some curls lost their way overnight, just dampen those areas slightly and apply a tad bit of your curling product to reshape.
      5. **Less is More**: Try not to touch your hair too much. The more you touch and play around, the higher the chances of disrupting those curls.
      Lastly, everyone's hair is a bit different. It might take a few trials to figure out what night routine works best for you. But stick with it, bro, and soon enough, you’ll be waking up with those curls still popping! And if you're looking for more product recommendations, check out "start your upgrade" on my LTK store in the bio. Keep shining! ✨🌀

      Hair type is determined by the shape of your curl pattern. If you’re unsure, you might have a combination type. Observing your hair when it’s wet without any products can help identify your curl pattern.
