    Your videos have helped me a lot! I'm new to having longer hair- what do you do if you have to wear a hat/headphones for it to not ruin my hair? Is the only solution earmuffs? Also, once your hair is already styled, do you get it wet? Or would you wear a hairnet when showering?

    • @itscarltonrose
      @itscarltonrose  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hats can mess it up. Opt for a loose-fitting cap and satin-lined if possible. I shower with a shower cap.

    • @itscarltonrose

      Head and Shoulders Royal Oils might not be the best for curly hair. Opt for sulfate-free shampoos for gentler care.

    What products do you use to grow out your hair

    • @itscarltonrose
      @itscarltonrose  ปีที่แล้ว

      To boost growth, I’d recommend Prose’s Custom Hair Oil, Mielle’s Pomegranate & Honey Leave-In Conditioner, or Curl Bounce’s Growth Serum. These brands are top-notch for promoting healthy hair growth.

    Bruh that’s a lot of conditioner. How often do you do this routine? I would go bankrupt using up all the conditioner quickly.

  • @babss5561
    @babss5561 ปีที่แล้ว

    Im starting. But I have an issue I’m not getting curls like yours like nice perfect curls. And I use the right product and stuff but I rarely ever get those type of curls and when I do it’s only a small part of hair in the front. I untangle my hair and do everything but when I get out the shower it’s just curls but in some spots and some of the curls are fizzy and not nice.

    • @babss5561
      @babss5561 ปีที่แล้ว

      And I don’t know what to do to get them looking nice like yours

    • @itscarltonrose
      @itscarltonrose  ปีที่แล้ว

      Product isn’t everything. Technique matters. Try varying how you apply & let’s kill that frizz.

      @@itscarltonrose would it be better to use conditioner each time I’m wash my hair?

  • @crimson3337

    Im not sure what to do with my hair its too short of an afro to make into curls and its pretty frizzy

    • @itscarltonrose
      @itscarltonrose  ปีที่แล้ว

      I totally get where you’re coming from! That in-between phase can be a bit challenging. For short curls, here’s what you can try:
      1. Moisturize: Keep your hair hydrated. Use a good leave-in conditioner or curl cream that suits your hair type.
      2. Co-Wash: Consider co-washing (washing with conditioner only) to retain moisture.
      3. Short Curl Styling: Even if your afro is short, you can still define those curls. After washing, apply a curl defining cream or gel. Use your fingers to twirl small sections or use a curl sponge in a circular motion to help define those coils.
      4. Minimize Frizz: Always pat your hair dry with a microfiber towel or t-shirt instead of a regular towel. This helps in reducing frizz. Also, avoid touching your hair too much as it dries.
      5. Maintenance: Protect your hair at night. Use a satin or silk scarf/bonnet or sleep on a satin/silk pillowcase to prevent frizz and breakage.
      In no time, as your hair grows, you’ll have more options to play with. Just focus on keeping it healthy and moisturized for now! 🌀

      I've been trying to use sponge curls recently but they don't last long at all and I also am wondering how much I should be using stuff like oil , leave-in, and curl cream I think i might be using too much

    • @itscarltonrose
      @itscarltonrose  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yo, it sounds like you’re grappling with the age-old question: “How much product is too much?” I totally feel you, my guy. Finding that perfect balance can be a bit of a journey. For the sponge curls not lasting, it might be that your hair needs a bit more hold. You might want to explore a holding gel or cream to give those curls some staying power. As for the products, a good rule of thumb is to start with a small amount and gradually increase until you find that sweet spot where your curls are looking fresh without feeling weighed down. And hey, don’t hesitate to switch things up if something ain’t working. It’s all about experimenting to find what’s perfect for you, bro!
