Sarah I love your recommendations and enthusiasm for perfume!! I love my good niche fragrances but sometimes I want some good cheapies or indie or vintage recommendations and I think of you as the one to watch for those. Not that you don't have some amazing niche & luxury fragrances too! But thank you for filling that 🕳 hole on YT perfume channels ❤️
Hey Sarah! Wow you listed some beauties. Elizabeth Arden Green Tea is an old signature of mine. 😊 Gosh CK Escape is such a throwback. It's truly an unforgettable smell! Thanks!
The strange thing about Dior is that they actually started as a perfume house long ago, before they went into couture. I can’t understand why they mishandle their own legacy like they do with their reformulations.
I adore Dior Addict and Dune, both are still 100% worth it in my opinion. I can’t say the same about Dolce Vita. I love Samsara. I'm almost out of my bee bottle. I hope I can find another vintage bottle, but if I don't, I might pick up the current version in the 'flacon bouchon cœur,' the inverted heart bottle. Great video, Sarah!
Dior Addict is my all time favorite perfume. I still have an original bottle, which I try not to use, and I have the newer formulation. Both are outstanding, however I feel the newer version is a lighter scent. I could wear the newer one during the day.
An affordable 80s classic that’s been reformulated to be better is the namesake perfume from Liz Claiborne (Liz Claiborne by Liz Claiborne). It’s a bright, rich, and syrupy floral that just lingers deliciously. AND can get a HUGE bottle for 20 bucks! Win✨
Its crazy, I used to be obsessed with Addict in my 20's but I just don't love it that much anymore🤷♀ I still wear L'eau d'Issey which is in my top 10 for life!
😅I love that you prefer the new formulation of SJP "NYC" I am opposite to you, I love the rummy vibe since it's reminiscent of the Caribbean and wild strawberry which you don't find here is a miss to my nose.
Hi, Sarah! Great video and interesting topic! Speaking about re-formulations, what do you think about L'Interdit? [Timeline: L'Interdit OG in the red box that Audrey Hepburn used to wear>> L'Interdit 2 from 1993 reinterpretation of the OG >> L'Interdit 2003 still has a little of the OG vibe >> The new L'Interdit White Floral Patchouli bomb with some fruit and not even a wisp of the original] Did you get to try them all? What do you think about them and which one is your favorite? What do you think about completely changing a perfume like this and still selling them under the old name?
Hi there! I have smelled the OG and the newest formulation. I am not the biggest fan of the new one so I haven’t wanted to smell any of the others or any of the flankers. I don’t think they should sell a completely different fragrance under the same name. It’s confusing and really frustrating for people who love the perfume. I really don’t like it when they do that. ❤️
Great video! Love some positivity here! Where are you?. Your background looks magical, did you move?? Love to you in this holiday season. I will have to email you for new address to send a Xmas card! ❤️🌹🌲
Samsara in the red bottle is beautiful but I have heard that the more recent formulations are not the same. The red bottles are getting harder to come by and they are pricey.
@@SarahMayes I think the newer reformulations are still good, just not as good as the earlier versions - at least that is what I have heard, I haven't had the opportunity to test them. Like you said, Guerlain typically does a good job with their reformulations so hopefully the newer bottles will be worth getting, too. But I do think there will be some differences.
I don’t agree with you on the Dior Addict perfume, I had a bottle of the 2002 and it smelled so much better I don’t like the new formulation. Dune was good back in the day but not anymore,
I have both formulations of Addict currently and when sprayed next to each other they really don’t smell that different. The older formulation is more complex but they didn’t butcher it the way that have many others.

My mom used to have Addict and Escape on her shelf and I loved sniffing it out of the cap as a child. good memories...
This was so good! Thank you for sharing!

Love the background. Moving is such a chore, but now you’re not stuck in a corner!😂
I want to try Samsara 😊
❤️🥰❤️🥰
I love when you talk Vintage gems. my friends and I love to reminisce over the powerhouse perfumes we wore in the 90s 🤭
❤️❤️❤️

I loved Green Tea I wore it in college

I will have to check it out! I haven’t smelled that fragrance for years. ❤️
You've moved, I'm guessing, if Im remembering correctly its one step closer to the goal home!?! Yeah💛
Yes! We are closer to our property. Next move will be there. ❤️🥰
Sarah!!! Are you in your new place?! 🥳🥂🙌🏽🤗 big congratulation hugs
Hi Love! We moved to an apartment close to our property. We have less room overall but more room for my TH-cam stuff. ❤️🥰😘🫶
This is amazing!! Thank you for sharing this!!

I can totally understand! Addict can be a lot and I could see getting tired of it. ❤️
Could you please do a review of the Elizabeth Arden White Tea Vanilla Orchid perfume?

I love this!! 😊

Love anything with coriander, will have to try Escape. I do not like the reform of Dune 😞

Hi Sweet Julie! We moved to an apartment close to our property. I will definitely have to get you my new address. ❤️🥰
I decluttered weekend to for the same reason
❤️❤️❤️
I remember when Escape was all the rage
Have you been able to smell Dior Dolce Vita? I wore that when it was first released and interested to see if adding this back to my collection..
Hi there! I do have Dolce Vita but mine is the original formulation. I’m not sure what the new one is like. ❤️
samsara and dior addict new formulations simply can’t compete with the old stuff 😭 but the new oud bouquet i actually prefer to the old one!
The Samsara that I have isn’t far off from the 1993 decant that I have. I have wondered about the newest formulation. ❤️
I don't agree. Samsara is still amazing. I have the first formulation, the red one and the bee bottle, they smell almost the same.
Samsara in the red bottle is beautiful but I have heard that the more recent formulations are not the same. The red bottles are getting harder to come by and they are pricey.
That is so sad! I was really hoping the new formulations were still good. 😭

L'eau dIssey put you in a chokehold in the 90s. I didn't care for it but I associate it with people I'm fond of
It really did! ❤️

I've got some 2002 Addict as well and it's much lighter now. Same with Dune.

Hey Sarah do you have an account on Fragnatica? I’d love to follow you there!
I do! It should be under my name I think.
