Honestly, I think he was only good actor doing criminal roles. Compare Christopher Walken with him. The Deer Hunter, the King of New York and see how funny he is in the Mouse Hunt. Bob was not even close to be a funny guy in Meet the Parents.

Robert De Niro, is a great actor. Yes, he is a grumpy guy, and Mickey Rourke, say that if he bumps into him, he is going to kick De Niro’s ass. De Niro, might not be a very nice guy to be around, but as a filmmaker, he is great! Al Pacino, and Robert De Niro, were good together in films like Heat. De Niro, was great in The Deer Hunter, The Untouchables, Raging Bull, and so on.

De Niro like so many other "influencers" seems to think he can take one way verbal pot shots at people but it's a case of he can really dish it out but he can't take it. At one time I held him in the highest regard but now I'm happy when his victims trash talk him right back.

I think the greatest role that Robert De Niro ever did was The Godfather and I wish that he had never ever said the crap that he said about Donald Trump I wish he had kept his damn mouth shut because we all like Robert De Niro as a great actor and as soon as he opened up his mouth and said how he'd like to punch Donald Trump in the mouth or in the face that's when he lost all respect from a lot of people so The Godfather I think is the best thing that he ever did because watching all three of the Godfathers was absolutely brilliant by Martin Scorsese it was absolutely brilliant

If you take the job of 'Deniro's Assistant'😮 (and believe me, they would have discussed what that means and entails, at length and probably even had a contract!) & if both parties do this step earnestly, then she has _no reason or right to spit the dummy afterwards!..._

In human affairs money is a big factor. He could do all these things because of having millions of dollars. At times money drives you crazy, all your thoughts sane or insane get affected. Most of the jackpot winners go insane after having money beyond their imaginations. That’s why in entertainment world the standards of normal are different from others. Movies depict these people as angels, sharp minds, handsome, logical, true lovers etc etc. Remember these things are fake, made to attract people immersed in tough realities of life, providing them a break with fairy tales.

I don't think so, but I'm not his MD. Could it be he speaks the truth about what's happening in the US political scene? I believe too many people don't speak up enough. Especially when it comes to dangerous ideas, or events that hurt people. We need help in this world and he is doing his part. He's older and has seen a lot. He is fed up, sad, mad, disappointed in opportunist, unkindness, stupidity etc., etc. Many people are, and he is definitely not alone. There are real dangerous things happening, these opinions are his, but I for one appreciate them; but also, because he is a great artist, and in the public eye. I find it disturbing that so many comments on here instantly judge and assume things about a person who they don't know. Even the title of this video assumes he is sad. Anyone who has lived 80 years has seen sorrow, joy, disappointments, failures and successes. The fact that he stays productive, engaged in his life and career is laudable. The fact that he has things to say about current events, politics, etc. is his right. After all, these are Public forums.

Since 'Taxi Driver' , when I was young boy, Robert De Niro, in one way or another, accompanied in my life somehow in the background...'Taxi Driver' mentioned was to me one of the eye-openers to the oppressiveness of living in a community when you don't quite conform to its zoologic or barracks "rules" so community "inflicts" on you the punishment of loneliness.
