WHAT IS THE ATHEIST EXPERIENCE?
The Atheist Experience is a weekly call-in television show in Austin, Texas geared at a non-atheist audience. The Atheist Experience is produced by the Atheist Community of Austin.
The Atheist Community of Austin is organized as a nonprofit educational corporation to develop and support the atheist community, to provide opportunities for socializing and friendship, to promote secular viewpoints, to encourage positive atheist culture, to defend the first amendment principle of state-church separation, to oppose discrimination against atheists and to work with other organizations in pursuit of common goals.
We define atheism as the lack of belief in gods. This definition also encompasses what most people call agnosticism.

This guy does believe the contradictory parts though which is why Matt is so confused. The caller's god is both good and evil, involved in everything but doesn't know the future. That is absolutely contrary to the God of the Bible but the guy doesn't care.

Secondly, Matt Dillahunty never dodges questions he just asks them to explain their question better and make it easier for him to understand their theist ideologies which afterwards makes it easier and faster for him to prove them wrong.

I've noticed something:
It took theists like 50 years being exposed to arguments like the rock paradox to FINALLY give up on the omniscient, omnipotent, "omniX".
And now they try a different route: God is jut the creator (and he also interacts with his creation), but he is fallable, of course, this still doesn't get around the problem of evil: "Then why call him God?".
I wonder how many centuries it will take before they change route again...

That is true for all Christian schools, due to the fact that all students are taught not to question the validity of the supernatural claims about reality, and to obey and worship a "God" based on faith.

The caller Tim, toward the end of the conversation, seemed to be suggesting that, because we have consciousness that the first cause must have consciousness. Birds have feathers. Does that mean that the first cause has feathers? Worms are slimy and do not have feathers. Is the first cause slimy and without feathers? How many attributes that we see manifest in the world are also properties shared by the first cause?

@@zigglywiggly9524 are you sincerely asking? It's the idea that if you trace all of the causes back, it intuitively seems like there must have been an initial cause that set the universe in motion. Some theists appeal to this notion to argue that their deity was that cause. There are a number of problems with those arguments.

Taylor is...odd. He says he believes in the Bible but does not follow it. And not just because he is 'weak', he does not follow aspects of it because he does not morally agree with it. I really want to know how he thinks that if the Bible is true, how would God feel about that.

The only thing more frustrating than someone who uses the bible to prove a God, is someone who pretty much makes up their own interpretation of the bible to justify their beliefs. Much in the same way that people use their own biases and wants to shape the God that they think exists. So it becomes a useless endeavor trying to reason with them and their abstract ideas of God. Things like when people say "God is LOVE." "God is everywhere, in everything, in all we do." How do you reason with that????

TH-cam is still not putting these videos in my sub box. I've unsubscribed and subscribed again, refreshed and they still aren't there.
Things have been funky lately, sometimes I see this behavior too. Do this - go to the main page and CTRL + Click on about 2 dozen videos (they'll open in new tabs). Go to each tab and let it play a few seconds - then TH-cam will know you just watched 24 AWESOME videos in a row (and they are) so it _should_ start recommending them.
When they upload the video they can chose to notify subscribers or not. I’m quite sure they have that turned off. Not notifications as in the bell, notifications as in showing up in the subscription feed.
