Finally we see ur Face and now we know why Augustini is listening to u Mr. Lucas ;) Well we are at issue 23 atm, but i like ur preview as i can see if i need to hide Cables somewhere on the way before building something in front ^^. Also it is easy to understand so thanks for that too.
Absolutely agree on power port - non-display side, or even better, down through one of the legs - extend the wires, drill a hole and hot glue this into place. Motor still needs to be wound back 1 gear-tooth. Might have to crack it open. Otherwise, great vids
I can see a limit switch for the lowered position of the ramp. Is there another one for the raised position? It looks to me like the raised limit switch needs to be a little more delayed, when you lower it again it appears to raise up a little before lowering. If the limit is increased on the raised switch it might stop fully up and close tighter.
Now that De Agostini has released the build in Oz (yet to receive the first 4 issues) I'm following this a little more closely. Please give us a close-up of the PCB (looked like there may be a PIC microprocessor on it) , it sounds like you'll be re-positioning it for display purposes, have you considered re-jigging the electronics? It shouldn't be too difficult to replicate what it does, and add some more effects, using an Arduino, or similar board, and have it remotely controlled by a bluetooth module, think James Bruton's control of his droids. Cheers
+James Lamb I got the first issue from a shop and have a subscription from number 2 on, but have not yet got issues 2 and 3. The web site said they they sent them on the 15th.
I wish the light wouldnt go out until the ramp had closed. Because it goes on before it opens as if letting internal light out which is what would be real
+Benoit Vanderzippe Yeah, it was terrible when I first tried but it seems to have settled a bit. I think the end stop position for the motor is slightly out.
The gap in my ramp after testing the motor is horrible, it refuses to close fully. Leaving me with a 5mm gap between the hull and ramp. Thinking of glueing the ramp closed and removing the motor altogether.
+Alan Whelan I had the same problem, in my case it was the inside front ramp support, (or rear left as it look at it) Where I'd glued it in place, it was protuding slightly and physically stopping the end of the ramp from closing, it would bend really badly as the motor pulled the ramp up, but the end of the ramp wouldn't clear the hull. Check you dont have the same problem, if the ramp catches on the side of the hull, that seems to be the result.
Looking great!!! Hopefully I'll be able to build one, one day. :D
thanks for showing again. i would really love to see what is put on the backside of that board.

Ooooohhh! Waiting is killing me! On issue 42 and it's been a year and a half. I mean, I'm not even at the middle!
But it's worth. It's worth.

Están muy buenos los videos para usar como referente, son de mucha ayuda a la hora de armarlo... Gracias!!!

Mishn0 yes there is one, she that Might be a solution!
Same screws I had to use the tap too!

I think the power jack is in the wrong place however maybe you could disguise it as a refuelling pipe, just an idea
I had the same thought. Refuelling pipe would make sense and could be part of a cool docking bay diorama base.

re power lead make it look like a fuel line hose ?
hi mate,I'm inclined to agree with you about the position of the power supply, maybe its something that can be re jigged, its coming along though😊
Hi, nice vid, How mutch does it cost in dollars to get all the issues, and how many are they? thamx
Rafael funes I'm not sure in Dollars, but in GBP it's £8.99 per issue, and there's 100 issues.
The Power Supply. When the falcon (hunk a junk) is on the ground......it MUST be hooked up to power/water/fuel ....just like a mobile home.
what is strange its close totally and opens again a bit
+Benoit Vanderzippe Yeah, it was terrible when I first tried but it seems to have settled a bit. I think the end stop position for the motor is slightly out.
Quite surprised they put the power on that side as well :( very disapointing.
i agree with you
If you build the Falcon into a diorama, you can disguise it as a fueling pipe or something like that
+BradM73 you shouldn't have to

Also wouldn be the actuator itself which hasn't been aligned on the inside? I mean, the gears?
