What you mean ain't nobody talking about the guitar player. He getting some love. That solo made me want to put down my sax and pick up my Stratocaster
@@ramonpooser2434 the blues predates what we recognize as gospel. Before that there were spirituals and field calls, which laid the groundwork for blues. Gospel music happened when black people made Christian churches, very early on. They developed the music over time. Jazz happened and became a part of gospel along with blues. We are basically left with 80’s gospel music now. It kind of stopped there. Due to decreasing relevance in the face of other, less Christian forms of music. You can still hear gospel influence in modern rnb, but it’s getting less all the time. Gospel, to my ears, is the perfection of soul music. So it sounds old to young people, the people who spend their parents disposable incomes supporting musical artists.
Pete Well you see, first of all, I’m not British so I couldn’t care less, and secondly, I said “Christian nutcase” It’s a specific type of person, like you! So in other words, you’re speshal!
1. The bassline was everything and yeah music like this is definitely in heaven. 2. Being inHeaven is about being with the father. That one was for Pete cause he's doing entirely too much.
It’s wonderful hearing men of GOD playing Gospel music and enjoying every second of it while battling each other in the process. I think the drummer was slamming until the bass guitarist said let me show you how it’s done then the lead guitarist stepped up. Thank y’all for sharing your musical gifts with the world! 🙏🏽 ☮️
Bruh if your bassist moob is resting like his on the bass you finna see some juicy licks, nasty climbs and smooth executions!!! This man is unstoppable!!!
I mean this in the best way possible! I hope he takes care of his health, he has an incredible gift and I would love to see him keep playing for many more years!
Woooow ... smack. Great bass player! Love the groove! But of course - the whole band is great! Drums, guitars, keys, ... really groovy and to the point. Thanks for sharing! Best regards, Stefan
Pete I agree with you, although I’m no drummer I do understand all concepts of music and how every instrument is played and I know enough to know that the power is in the wrists rather that the actual arm
Pete the only thing here thats extra is the unnecessary analytics of this dude groovin’😂i’m a rudimental snare drummer with some good chops, and i can personally attest that its impossible to get the velocity and sound he had with no arm. the thing that would be truly extra is sitting there and not letting the body language portray the emotion and groove thats present
As a guy who grew up playing guitar in Funk bands back in the 70's and early 80's...l really feel and smell this. The musicianship is super tight and exceptional . No hate or disrespect intended...but MY personal challenge is that I unintentionally block the Spirit because I can't get past the funky groove and musical gymnastics...! I'll have to pray my way past the Funk. lol Keep up the Amazing ministry Gentlemen!
Who says the Lord hasn’t blessed you with an ability to hear and appreciate music at a different level than most! That’s a huge testament to your faith, and even more reason to praise Him for the ability to experience music in that way!! The Spirit can’t and won’t be shut out when you enjoy what He’s given you
I am a professional musician myself, and I know talent when I hear it. The whole group is awesome with veru talented Musicians, and yes the bass guitar player is on another higher level, but they all are very good talented Musicians
Churches produce some of the baddest instrumental players ever. You have to be very skilled because Gospel is such a diverse genre of music. It pulls from all of the secular genres.
Explain me pls why we, white guys, will never play like our black bros? Every time I listen smth like this I'm just blown away with their skills and creativity.
For the ones that said that they were competing with each other. They are not. Their just having fun. It was an after church jam. That's mean they can do what they want. That's what missing with some bands. This is a perfect example of chemistry and fun with your band. After church is always a place for that.
I can feel the fun they were having.... Reminds me of the days when I played in Wally's on Mass Ave in Boston.... years ago... the grooves would last 40 minutes... sometimes...
No way, not hating but there's plenty more churches out there and plenty more venues other than church to find great musicians. Now go forth and experience TH-cam, young grasshopper lol. 😏
No one is talking about how clean and beautiful that guitar sounds!!!! So amazing
Agape is a Beast
What you mean ain't nobody talking about the guitar player. He getting some love. That solo made me want to put down my sax and pick up my Stratocaster
1:01 damn
Seriously he's just over there calmly shedding and composing on the fly, dude's fire!
RIGHT!
Why isn’t Gospel music the most famous music in America?? It’s so perfect
It and then the blues showed everybody how to play every form of American music. Country, folk, jazz, soul/r&b, funk, rock, pop, all that and more.
All Black American music.

neo soul was an offshoot of this music @@Squidward_Tikiland
Secularism and pop-culture doing their job - thats why.
Bass was perfect, never overplayed but man did he play.
That's Eric B Dub White...One of the tightest bass players out there.
Overplaying is when you in the way. Once you learn pacing you can get away with anything.

Pete Of course, who has Christian tolerance? Lol
You’re all fuckin’ crazy
Pete Well you see, first of all, I’m not British so I couldn’t care less, and secondly, I said “Christian nutcase”

No one is talking about the razor sharp horn section. They deserve some amplification.
"Jesus loves you, get your life together" Brother just put The icing on the cake" Awesome jam!
The note at 13 seconds still slays me all these years later.

Bruh if your bassist moob is resting like his on the bass you finna see some juicy licks, nasty climbs and smooth executions!!! This man is unstoppable!!!
You'd better repent for that! 😂😂
This groove is so West Coast. Unique and one-of-a-kind sound.
I mean this in the best way possible! I hope he takes care of his health, he has an incredible gift and I would love to see him keep playing for many more years!

Pete it’s not poor technique. Allow the man to do what he wants. He’s feeling the groove and is an amazing drummer
Well fuck you Nelson if we not there. There is no world without us...
Pete I agree with you, although I’m no drummer I do understand all concepts of music and how every instrument is played and I know enough to know that the power is in the wrists rather that the actual arm

I think it helps me go in! Eddie James is a good worship who has blended that right band feel with worship, you might like him

Churches produce some of the baddest instrumental players ever. You have to be very skilled because Gospel is such a diverse genre of music. It pulls from all of the secular genres.
It’s always the drummers that’s doing the most while playing lol talking, joking, laughing, adjusting the set… all while keeping the beat
If you see a big guy in the bass, he is amazing for sure 🤣

Bass player Bryan "Bdub" White.
I got +10 happiness points just by clicking on this
Its hard to find a drummer that understands "one band, one sound" ... that drummer makes you work hard to hear everybody else
I wish that I could play with people at this level and soul bro. So hard to find musicians with their own style and chemistry nowadays
Damnnnnnn this is the only way you could make me go to church
