Afternoon at Lake Hood Seaplane Base Action

This is a video that shows seaplane takeoffs and landings shot in the span of one hour on Sept. 17, 2021 at Lake Hood Seaplane Base PALH/LHD at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, Anchorage, Alaska. This is hunting and bear viewing season so there is a tremendous amount of traffic on Lake Hood in August and early September. Lake Hood Seaplane Base has seen as much as 70,000 takeoffs and landings in years past. This footage is completely candid with no communication with the aircraft or pilots. You can hear the Lake Hood Tower and aircraft as I use a handheld IComm radio to monitor aircraft taking off and landing.
