Bob was greater... commercially, not afraid to say that. Peter was the exact opposite of the easy going island boy image of Bob and therefore had a different fan base, not as great as Bob but just as dedicated! There was room at the table for both of them and they got their fill...
Peter was truly extremely militant and unwavering in his beliefs. Bob wanted to reach the masses and I respect that too. Someone once compared Bob to MLK and Peter to Malcolm X although I believe Bob had a lot of Malcolm in him as well. He was just more palatable and that’s just the truth. Love them both.

Marleys music has depth and did a better fussion of reggae and rock that makes for a successful cross over of the reggae genre to international audience. Marleys impactful songs of freedom and social justice is such that the United nations honoured him with the peace medal of freedom. Marleys funeral in 1981 in Jamaica is the biggest ever of any celebrity on that island, an indicator of how respected he was as an artist and a human being both at home and abroad. His success was not handed to him freely. It is based on talent and hard work. That you re here attempting to show that Peter tosh is as relevant as Bob Marley shows who the standout super star is between both artist: that person is Bob Marley. We do not need these types of comparisons. Peter, Bob, and Bunny are cornerstones. They needed to be together for a time and they needed to be apart for individual growth.
