I've had Phase Plant for almost a year now, and I didn't use it that much. I think I was intimidated by the blank slate. But I watched a bunch of your videos about it, and the educational and inspirational boost pushed me to start messing around. Now I'm addicted to the design. I love how there's no distractions. I have many synths, and many granular engines, but this is just so easy to use, and so responsive. Very pleased I didn't have to pay for this new generator (plus all of the samples), they are amazing for that!
I love how they made it their own version of granular synthesis. I'm no master sound designer wizard like you, but I made a cool little FX style patch I called "grain Thang". I litterally got it the moment it dropped, because there was no announcement yet, nor videos and i was looking at the installer five minutes before hand with no update. But then went back to the installer and BLAM. There she was!
Ive got them in my rc 505 boss looper which u turn the fx wheel to get Different pitches tones ,sounds like expanda by sasha and my tb3 roland do good ones as well
Only features I wish for are: 1. Timestretching in the sample and granular engines 2. Way more FX lanes, 5-10 would be much better, and perhaps a pair of master FX lanes? Can’t think of anything else… Phaseplant is one of the best synthesizers I’ve ever used.
9:46 this lock only is for the pitch root note, not all the settings 10:14 what is making some grains slower or faster exactly? did you meant because the root note isnt the same as the root on the original sample loaded now that the lock was active?
I need this! It will fix the issue wich I sometimes have with classic SEQ's or Arps. A granulized sound just fits perfectly beneath it in my opinion and don't break the power of a reese bass for example!
I've been searching for a modern granular sampler after I fell in love with Grain in Reason some years ago. I have the Iridium keyboard and its granular engine (which is great) seems a bit behind the curve compared to software. Looking forward to hearing what people do with this softtware.
How did we miss this!? Great vid Dash! Thanks! ❤

You can timestretch the granular by using the grain-size parameter. Also you can get more FX lanes by loading in snap heap (their FX host)
something i was looking for quite some time, do you have any tutorial how to setup a lead sauce?
the main thing in there is the "Shimmer", my big 50 tips video has a rundown of how to do that effect, the rest is delay + reverb :)
can you tempo sync each grain to daw tempo say for glitch percussion?
Yes! :D I have another video on exactly that
@@DashGlitch thanks thats perfect!
