thanks for the bringing back my own memories. only have a few pics, so it was nice to see a good video. i bought my first motorcycle in november of '22 and in june rode to the burning man area. i knew that the pavement ended going up the west side, but was still disappointed that it was too bad for the bike. so i too turned around and went up the east side to gerlach. the shell station is not always open, kinda hit n miss when i went thru. overall it was a nice trip, lots of solitude and occasional scenery away from the beautiful lake. raced a quite heavy storm that snuck up on me on an otherwise totally cloudless and light wind day. there were a few miles on the west side where the road was covered (like a couple hundred every 10 feet) with locusts. never found out if it was a seasonal thing or mating thing or what. but was crazy. hope to go again sometime, during the party
I was curious about what was on the opposite shore around the 8:45 to 9:00 mark. There were several dark objects on the shore with a smoky/misty/cloudy area behind it. Your photos show them to be large boulders or islands. Cool. I love drives like this. It's kind of a majestic beautiful isolation out there.
the dark objects are massive rocks and its dust around it:) i drove there today and explored. the rocks looks so cool and unique up close! def a cool place to check out
I still can't believe you had this wonderful footage- esp of Pyramid Lake- from 3 years ago & only just now making a video out of it. There's a reason most Road Warriors keep the original footage they recorded for as long as they can- either to do remixes or in case there's "lost" footage worthy of making videos out of. Thanks for the extra weekly video :)
I grew up on this lake. My grandfather's ashes are at this lake.
Thank you.

As a Nevadan currently in Ohio, I sure appreciated this view and drive.

Greets from the Netherlands.

Hello from Beaumont Texas
For some reason i keep looking at the sky expecting to see a UFO .
LoL
This is hundreds of miles away from Area 51 my friend. Check out my Extraterrestrial Highway video for that kinda stuff!
Never really drove around the actual reservation/lake
Not Public Land( Rez)Rs
but free and unimpeded as long as you stay on the main road
Guessing the water level is much lower now from the video you shot
No its pretty normal only 2.11 ft below full pool
