Fun fact: In the novel it's explained that Vecta literally can't die, his health points were never designed to reach zero, effectively making him immortal. However, Bercouli wields the time splitting sword Uragiri, whose special ability is to slash your past, causing an instant death regardless of how strong you are. Bercouli was the only one capable of killing Vecta.
Just thought of something to "defeat" Vecta, giving him the same treatment as Poh. Turning him into a tree, since his hp can't drop below one, he'll never be able to be freed from that form
Ausna could split the earth under him, then when he fell, slam it back together. Can't do much when you are stuck deep beneath the earth. Even his strength wouldn't be even close to enough to break free. And that way he wouldn't log out and switch to his ggo account.
Edit: Leafa's Terria acount could also provide a solution(kinda). Unlimited regeneration vs infinite health. Neither dies, and the fight lasts forever, until an alternate solution is found, or someone goes insane from pain and exhaustion.

That's because the Light Novel (raw) spelled it's name in English rather than in Kanji, by literally romanizing it as (followed by explanation on the name).

@@noobdude5933 His GGO account should have been about as strong as the account of Sinon and others. His OP powers were just a cringe plot armor to make his fight a little bit more interesting since the main character just slayed a secondary vilain in a much better fight scene.

According to the LN Vecta‘s HP couldn’t drop below 1 which basically means that no one could kill him except for Bercouli. And he did. Amazing guy.

At the second part, I thought he also meant Alice. I thought that Bercouli meant that Alice would never know what it meant to lay down her life to protect those she loved since he aimed to kill Vector the one he saw as the cause of this war.

I think he’s the most underrated SAO character. I’d love for him to have his own spin off. To think, he knew he would die facing Vecta- and he did- but was determined to take him down. How? By slashing through his past.
There are so many extra stories Reki-san can dive into. Like, for example, the story of the Integrity Knights, the story of why Lizbeth chose to become a blacksmith, the story of the Sleeping Knights from their very beginning, and so on
@@minhluong9450 But nope. We have to focus on boring Kirito and Asuna and their broken character development, drama-free relationship, and more stakeless Alfheim. Heaven forbid we focus on the interesting, developed characters in the show. Man I love and hate SAO so much.
I would probably binge watch that. My fave char was Bercouli in Alicization and WoU. I want to see his interactions with the late Dark General too. And take note, he won without administrator priveleges

this is the best fight in the whole series, because you know that's dude is just a side character so I thought he would definitely die but what happened was beyond my expectations with Uragiri he slashed vecta's past and in the end they ended up killing each other it gave me goosebumps🔥RIP Bercouli🙏

It really did!
This was the theme that stuck with me all day today....I said goodbye to my dog, and best friend of 15 years today, and this song is the one theme that stuck in my head. Both tragic and heroic. It perfectly captures the feelings of love (Bercouli as the 'uncle' figure for Alice/myself and my dog) as well as the underlying tragedy of parting that comes with life. This piece will always hold that special place in my heart for this.
I am once again here to pay my respects to the legend
In terms of characters that don’t just get a super god mode out of nowhere he was truly the only hero that worked his ass off to where he was able to perfect that sword to the point where only he and only he would be able to defeat the dark lord, no one not even Asuna would’ve been able to defeat him. He’s truly a hero for saving those that he believed in.

Asuna is not the strongest among the heroes' side. It's canonically Kirito as stated by Alice in the end of Alicization
Goddess Asuna is arguably weaker than Goddess Sinon as Annihilate Ray is broken and has no drawbacks
@@Underworldwarrior1 Correct me if i'm wrong cause it's been years, but i THINK the gods accounts are not immortal, just have super buffed stats, which would then mean you could theoretically eliminate Vecta UW god account the same way Stacia Asuna got rid of Poh's UW account, create a hole underneath him and let gravity do its thing

On a side note the child of Fanatio and Bercouli could potentially wield The Time Piercing Sword. As long as he/she has a strong connection to it. In the LN I thought it was broken, but in the anime it is not.
In the anime, its actually broken. In LN, we see the Time Piercing Sword break, but in the anime, they skipped over that part. If we closely look at Bercouli while he was sitting down after Alice woke up (in the anime after the battle with Vecta), the Sword isn't sheathed nor is it anywhere scattered on the ground. The sword in the LN broke right after Vecta was defeated, but the anime likely skipped that since it might ruin the moment of sadness the viewers need to take in:
Bercouli is dead.
In the anime, when sinon arrive in EP3. You can see the aeriel view of the sword sheathed beside bercoulli.

GGO is amazingly written, I would not base my opinion on anime which changed/cut out many things(for the worse). Volume 5 and 6 are still one the better ones and Calibur was not an arc, it's a side-story.

Bercouli‘s theme, just as Alice‘s (She was sitting under the Osmamthus Tree) resembles his life - In Bercouli‘s case, more so his life as an Integrity Knight. His theme is divided into two parts.
0:00 - 0:13 | The intro sequence - It starts off strong, voluminous, overpowering.. very much like Gabriel described the taste of Bercouli‘s soul while they battled, proving Bercouli’s undeniable and natural strength.
0:13 - 01:33 | This part, in my mind, resembles his life as Integrity Knight Bercouli Synthesis One - A kind of dull life, his only purpose is that of an unbreakable warrior, a puppet, summoned by the pontifex from the heaven realm. He is being controlled, suppressed.. There is more to life, more to this experience of existing in this world.. But what?
1:33 - 3:02 | He knows it, now, finally, he knows what he needs to do. He needs to protect Alice, no, save her from this demonic god, who has kidnapped the young Integrity Knight. But Alice is not just an Integrity Knight, nor is she just the „Priestess Of Light“ - No, she is his daughter. And he will do anything to protect her, even if that means giving his life so her‘s can continue. It seems as though this was the first time he truly fought with all his might, with all his heart behind his blade, with all his willpower to carry on. Even after all the injuries, all the pain, all the suffering.. After all that, he found the strength to defeat his most challenging and powerful foe, the dark god Vecta in person. It shouldn’t be possible, it was not meant to be that Vecta‘s health points could reach zero, and yet, Bercouli did it.
In german, the word „Incarnation“ is translated to „Herzenswille“, which can be translated to „Will of the Heart“. It‘s funny, because in this small analysis, the german translation provides a way deeper meaning to the battle, and why exactly Bercouli was able to defeat Vecta. He defeated him not because he was stronger physically, or more skilled. He was able to kill Vecta, because he fought out of love, not hatred. He fought because the will of his heart was to protect his daughter. And that was stronger than Vecta‘s soulless void.
