That intro just breaks hearts. I don't remember when I was moved like this the last time. Probably Floods solo by Dimebag Darrel. Andy is truly one of the great guitar players of today, even if he usually covers stuff. He has his tone and a wonderful taste.
In the spirit of stacking... just got my Velvet fuzz yesterday and I gotta say, stacking it with a MXR Phase 90 script into an old reissue EHX Electric Mistress creates an intense lead tone. Velvet in big mode, gain at 2 o'clock. Phase at 10 o'clock and flanger was colour and range off and rate about 2:30. Also had it goin into a Lovepedal Gen5. Typical lead delay settings. So.. yeah. If anyone cares. Dig it.
I got this pedal back when it first came out, it stacks great don't get me wrong, I run mine after a Carl Martin Compressor/Limiter pedal and between a Wampler Dual Fusion and Fulltone Full Drive 2 Mosfet. The pedal sounds awesome before and after an OD pedal. But it also sounds amazing all by itself. This pedal nails the Fuzzface in to a Marshall stack sound, by itself. Its the best sounding, most versatile Fuzz that I have ever played through, and I've played them all. The only fuzz that even compares is the Dunlop Eric Johnson Signature Fuzzface.
Tramp depends on what each listener likes... but its one of my faves for sure... and im one who likes CRAZY FUZZ mostly. Still a beautiful fuzz for damn sure.
Andy could get tone out of a homemade sardine can guitar with bailing wire strings, but to finally see him with a proper les paul and strat into this wampler pedal, truly awesome magic!
If you check Wampler's website, it says that the Velvet Fuzz is a PGS exclusive. PGS tends to do multiple videos with exclusive products, like the Humboldt Hot Rod.
Thomas Ramsey Dude... dont covet... just do what YOU do and do what YOU do THE BEST!!! Im sure ur joking of course, but i use to say the same thing but was usually... HALF joking? Hahaha! But hey whatever... im just saying i bet u can do some cool shit too! Be u bro!
now i know why this pedal cost 200 bucks$$ its a bad ass pedal just got one, it shines on strat also good with humbuckers! Gilmor in the box i can tell!Forget about other fuzz pedals this one its a fuzz dist and overdrive all in one just roll back the guitar volume and tone and you will get it all!
A great fuzz into a great amp creates the magic. I'd love to hear the Velvet through the Catlinbread DLS MkIII. They both excel on their own but together will the magic happen?
When you use an overdrive into an amp that's breaking up, does that kill tone too? If you think stacking kills tone, you just haven't found the right combination yet.
I've seen that you setup up the Blues Driver and the Velvet mostly with the Volume and Gains at noon. How the Amp was setup? I have a Blues Junior (The Blues Junior III Huminboldt Red with Patriot Hemp Cone) how would you setup the Blues Junior with these pedals? I am getting
deluxe reverb reissue. normal channel. volume around 4. treble 5.5, bass 4.5. Just a guess from the behind the behind the scenes proguitarshop . they discuss amp settings.
Great! Despite, I'm not a huge fan of mixing fuzz with drive or any boost type. It's great to control volume and the gain only using the guitar's volume knob. That's the way they were made to work. Anyway, it sounded great!
Who is paying who for advertising?? They are Wampler dealers. They buy product and make videos. EJ also uses a Fuzz with his Tube Driver if I recall correctly.
+Maxwell Carpenter hey bro this pedal it will sound good in any combination but if you add too much gain from a Amp you have to roll back your guitar volume! i mainly use on a clean channel with some Reverb in the Loop thats all you need! Pure sound the more you add the less you hear it!
Really pushing the Wampler agenda this last month. They must have paid heavily for all of this advertising. Just something I've noticed is all. The pedal sounds good, but stacking just kills tone IMO.
I Know!!! It's like these PGS people are running a business or something! It's almost as if they're trying to sell products and make money!! It makes absolutely NO SENSE, right?!
please lose the g&l, reverend, Eastwood nonsense, and stick to playing the trifecta(fender strat Tele, gibson les paul). it appeals to more listeners that way.
That Moonage Daydream solo breaks hearts. I bought the pedal and it became my favorite.

This is the best sounding fuzz pedal I have heard yet, and I have heard a bunch... Great video!
Tramp depends on what each listener likes... but its one of my faves for sure... and im one who likes CRAZY FUZZ mostly. Still a beautiful fuzz for damn sure.
Awesome! This is literally exxxxactly why I was looking at this pedal. Ronsonesque smooth lead fuzz
Andy could get tone out of a homemade sardine can guitar with bailing wire strings, but to finally see him with a proper les paul and strat into this wampler pedal, truly awesome magic!
dezionlion ... AND HE HAS!!!
...Andy demos and Brian Wampler fxs... ...love those AnPler sounds...
right you are, sir! I was just referring on EJ's use of tube driver :)
Andy, you always play great, but this time you took it to a whole new level. Great demo, man.
My word, that intro. Speechless - Mick lives.
Best intro solo I've ever heard in a demonstration oMFG
If you check Wampler's website, it says that the Velvet Fuzz is a PGS exclusive.
PGS tends to do multiple videos with exclusive products, like the Humboldt Hot Rod.
i think andy is in love with this pedal, never seen this many videos on one pedal haha
The 100% of the gear i know, i knew it because PGS! Thank you guys for bring the best, as allways.
That intro was just...wow.
I need one of these. Especially after hearing it with a wah.
Amazing tones.. seriously.
The 1983 tone gave me a sound-gasm.
Thanks, Andy! You just gave me some really good stacking ideas!
Damn it Andy, I hate my guitar, I hate my amp, I hate my effects, I hate myself now.
Be u bro!
Pretty visceral playing Andy, got the juices goin"
Most anyone who uses a fuzz stacks it with an OD of some type for the mid-hump. Allows the fuzz to cut through the mix better.
that opening solo. UNF.
Well !!! Finally a demo with an example with humbucker .Maybe the parts with humbuckers is too short.
this is the only place selling this specific pedal so yeah theyre putting it out there. limited to pgs so...
Amazing playing as usual Andy!
All these videos are advertising. That's right folks, PGS is in fact, in the business of selling things.
I just noticed he doesn't use a pick. Pretty amazing how he can play so fast with his fingers.
Damn, Wampler makes good-sounding stuff. Twice the price, but twice as nice
Mmmm, that's good motivic development in that intro, kids!
Like it's... right outta a... daydream 'r somethin', eh... ? ;)
now i know why this pedal cost 200 bucks$$ its a bad ass pedal just got one, it shines on strat also good with humbuckers! Gilmor in the box i can tell!Forget about other fuzz pedals this one its a fuzz dist and overdrive all in one just roll back the guitar volume and tone and you will get it all!
Andy Unleashed!!!
Great demo.
that tone ... 3:17 oh boy... i just need his fingers,3-4 wampler pedals and his amp...but man i would love to get that velvet fuzz pedal!!
Andy is the shit, I wonder if he has any recordings out or works with any bands.
Good pedal, fantastic playing buy Andy
haha yea Hendrix 1983 awesome tone
My favourite Hendrix song!
i would love to see previews of the electronic orange effects! they are very much into david gilmour, moon vibe, big hoof I, and Mark II, banana boost
Great Hendrix playing!
fantastic review!
+100 for Bowie / Mick Ronson
last example is before OD
Sweet sounding fuzz. Going to have to get this. And why not?….You can never have enough fuzz.
"Playing nice w/ others". True.
I agree Kommi. I'm very disappointed when it was stacked. However, used alone is sounds amazing.
I
he does use an ss3 or ts808 with the fuzz on occasion though

Excellent.

PGS is the Wampler of Gtr stores. MuscFriend +Zzz123 are boss/mxr.
nice strat!
and the fact 1983 was just played on it...
1983.... You dont play that nearly enough Andy!

In the very beginning that is!?
Monster!
why is moonage daydream and hotel california so similar?
How noisy is the velvet fuzz? I have a fuzz that is waaay too noisy and I want to replace it...
Damn, I can't get to stack this pedal with my other fuzz :/
Gets too noisy
freak out in a moonage daydream, oh yeahhhhhh
Who is paying who for advertising?? They are Wampler dealers. They buy product and make videos. EJ also uses a Fuzz with his Tube Driver if I recall correctly.
and that Tele too! lawd!
dezionlion Teles... 🤮🤮🤮
What's the first song? It sounds so familiar.
you showed an MXR Phase 100 but you didn't use it. why?
How does this pedal sound going into a dirty marshall 1987
+Maxwell Carpenter hey bro this pedal it will sound good in any combination but if you add too much gain from a Amp you have to roll back your guitar volume! i mainly use on a clean channel with some Reverb in the Loop thats all you need! Pure sound the more you add the less you hear it!
It says Fender DRRI on screen at one point
ronson lives
moonage daydream
from which song is that solo Andy plays in the beginning?
Moonage Daydream - David Bowie :)
thanks m8! :) it sounded familiar
How does it sound in an already distorted amp?
what delay was that on the intro
I bet it was the Faux Tape Echo by Wampler, that's a hell of a beast man.
wow!!!! Mick Ronson!!!!!!!!
Sweet
Wooo 1983
What delay pedal was that?!?!
hows this compare to a big muff?
Can anyone please tell me which les paul that is?
EJ doesn't use TD with fuzz...that would be gilmour, he boosts muff with TD.
Jimi Hendrix - 1983 (A merman i should turn to be)
What music between 2:32 and 4:16 minutes?
Marcelo Pontes oh i wrote that.
mermaiddd :""
fuck man, this is how you play guitar. Didn't really listen to the pedal as a result hahaha!
Uli Roth in a booooooooooooooooooooooox!
Keep your electric eye on me babe!
Merman
1983 a merman I should be
Wampler Faux AnalogEcho Delay
I would have liked to have heard before an overdrive, not after. Especially without a buffer in front. Every combination has something in front of it.
Paid heavily??? LOL - PGS have this as an exclusive so it's worth them pushing this pedal hard. No monies would have been passed.
1337
david bowie
Tanginagaling!

dezionlion what?! Shut the fuck up... jackass.
Can anyone please tell me which les paul that is?
