It's all about space on my desk. I need the keyboard, joystick and a large microphone and stand (which has to be close to me). A steering wheel would take up a lot of desk space and make it hard to get close enough to the mic. Playing and recording has it's own problems :)
I drove from Hamburg to Kosice(Slovakia) on a BMW 118 1.9 Diesel 🙌 you don't understand how amazing it was, only 19 years old too and it went pretty well for me 😎
Great vid as usual Squirrel, thank you. That being said, it is not your fault these people are having trouble with the mods. Everyone who uses mods on a regular basis knows they can be wonky and you've been telling people to back up files every video. I don't like the idea of a super nice guy like you feeling bad for other peoples mistakes. Had to get that off my chest. Thanks again for all the vids. I am a sub for life. Cheers.
Old video but the national speed limit in the US is 65 but they do allow you to go 10 MPH over the speed limit. Some roads in Texas and and another state have the speed limit of 90 MPH.
That parking at the end would have absolutely made you fail a trailer parking test in real life :D The driving instructor would probably have joked and asked; "did you park that trailer, or drop it off with a helicopter?"
Interstate speed limit in the states is usually 65mph. People almost always get away with 70-75 and police/state patrol units will just not bother you. To folks who think in KPH, 65mph is about 105km/h. That said, I've simply kept up with traffic through Chicago at about 90mph a few times. It's definitely a bit nerve wracking on a very packed freeway. There was one night heading south through Chicago on my way to Kentucky at about 4am. It was nothing but 18 wheelers for miles. Kind of cool.
The speed limits here in the U.S. vary, on the freeway it's typically 70-75 until you get into more densely populated areas where the speed limit on the freeway will dip down to 55 assuming there's no construction. Then on highways it's usually around 55 and in residential areas it's around 25.
In the US we have Interstate Highways which speeds vary depending on the state. Some states are 55 - 60 MPH where others are 70 - 75 MPH. In cities the Interstates are called Freeways and hold a speed limit between 55 - 65 depending on the city of course. Most mid and large cities also have belt-ways or loop freeways. In the US highways going North and South have ODD numbers (IH-15) where East and West bound highways are EVEN numbered (IH-10). Loops usually are 3 digit numbered (IH-215). Tollways also exist and are self explanatory where you have to pay to drive on them. IH-35 in Kansas from about 10 miles in from the south border up to Wichita is a pay on site Tollway wit a prepass RFID tag option. Others exits around Dallas and Houston Tx and throughout the NE USA. The Lake Pontchartrain Causeway out side of New Orleans is (or was) a Toll way bridge. Aside from the Driving on Interstates in the US these mega highways serve another purpose. In the event of an emergency these highways can be used to land aircraft on in some areas not obstructed by trees, and power lines and crap. I think this was the idea by president Eisenhower back when the whole interstate highway system idea came about.. Most all Interstate Highways have a system of weights and standards in the form of weigh stations or CMV check stations along their route just in each states borders where ALL commercial trucks and vehicles (with a DOT number) must exit into for inspection. Standard weigh stations now imploy "Weigh-In-Motion" where trucks do not have to exit for manual weighing unless its an oversized load. This system has the right lane designated with sections of load cells the trucks drive over at speed. In cab signals tell the driver if all is well or not. Of course we also have US highways and State highways with respect to directional numbering. Usually these highways are lower speeds and older than Interstates as they were build long before Interstates and you really get to travel into a variety of small towns and cities at "surface level" on these roads. An old trucker trick in the US is using the old US and State highways to by-pass a weight or CMV check station...
Oh for sure. Every single online game has trolls in it ruining it for the rest. It would be no different. The game would need to have a built-in mechanism to rank and reward drivers, so good ones (few crashes, helping others etc) and bad ones (always crashing into vehicles, lots of other drivers reporting them etc) would be separated over time - perhaps on different server instances.
Here in Australia we have a maximum speed limit of 110 km/h (though select NT highways are 130). Many people think it is too slow for the distances we cover, but they crash and die going at unsafe speeds, so we don't really pay attention to them.
Thanks for the reply Squirrel, you made my day again. I am glad to hear it doesn't really bother you; I may have misinterpreted your tone on the video.Still, I don't know how you deal with so many similar inquiries on the same subject, constantly. Your patience is infinite, your wisdom sublime. Lol. Thanks again for all the time and effort you give your viewers.
Use Cruise control it helps to avoid speeding tickets ha ha. I dozed off in my truck, came round and was heading for a ditch! I swear there were no rest stops for hours on the way down the west of the map to Geneva.
I'd like to hear some little details about your destination or the route. And to kickstart it : Parts of the Autobahn can actually be turned into propper emergeny Airfields for the Air Force. This was done in the Cold War. And Hamburg had a famous Pirate by the name of Stoertebecker wich was decapitated here. The hangman was told to chop off the head and let the body walk. And they would free all the men the body went past. It went past 11 and then was brought to the ground by the hangman.
I don't feel bad to be honest because there is nothing more I can do to warn people about the dangers of using mods. I put a disclaimer in every video description and warn people to watch my Mod Guide video. No-one can say "You didn't warn me" =)
It varies from state to state, slowest is 55,fastest is 85 in places, but people usually go a bit faster then the limits because we don't have as many speed cameras.
Squirrel, When you are not in the UK go into your Gameplay Options and change the speed to ' Km/ph ' It changes it to the right speed for the right country.. and when in the UK change it back to ' mph '
Average max speed on the US Interstates is 70 mph. In cities, it's usually 55-65 mph, and in empty areas (Some of Utah, Texas, etc.) it goes up to 80 mph.
I have noticed squirrel that you say there is not pedestrians in the game. there are in fact pedestrians and you can turn them on in the graphics menu. They only appear in cities like you'd expect but they are a nice addition
OMFG SQ my man i love it, you doing so perfect, started laughing my ass off on that first cam, then as soon as i stopped laughing, second cam good show, good show
Speed limits on highways or interstates are usally about 80 sometimes they even go to 90 mph but there are always police behind a under cross that have speeding cameras and always catch people
On a interstate the speed limit is 60-60 miles an hour but most people go around 70-75. The police only give you a ticket if your going faster than every body els, so all you have to do is stay with the rest of trafic
U.S. Interstates range from 45mph - 85mph. The 45mph is the minimum speed and the 85mph is the maximum speed only found in West Central Texas. Montana is the only US State that has little to none interstate speeds. At night, the speed limits are at 65mph and the trucks speed limit is 55mph. Most common speed limit is 70mph.
Hey Squirrel! In response to your US interstate speed limits, usually around metro areas the speed limit ranges from 55 mph to 65 mph.. In more secluded areas it ranges from 70-75 mph. The 55 mph kills me! No one hardly follows the limits in the US.. Lol! They are more of "speed suggestions" over here I guess .. Haha
In America, the major highways (which are called interstates) have a speed limit of usually 60 mph. People don't normally drive across the whole country. Instead they fly or something.
Lol...the last rest stop you had, there were two AI cars behind you in the fuel station. You were blocking them and then rested. When you came back from resting, they were still stuck there...
Squirrel if you hire new drivers tell them to lvl fragile cargo or in time or heavy loads and not long distance. Because they get paid by km and if you take one of the three above the money you get rises but not with rising of the km driven, so you get more money. I get 10k per driver and they not even fully leveld, also they earn money more often because they dont have to take large runs. But thats just my experience!
The autobans in Germany do in fact have a speed limit of 120km...however u are allowed to go over the limit, but if u have a crash u are the one held responsible
just a quickie... at 33:30 and on, when u stopped last..., when u got out to look see, the white station wagon (i think, i know it was white) got cut off from leaving. while u were at least 8 feet away from the fence. do u get anything cut off or at least a warning from the people?? (people being all there is, lol) keep up the good work!!
Here in the United States the Interstates are mostly 70mph outside the cities and towns (Was 80 but Politicians thought be better on MPG to lower it...it doesn't). Inside town they vary. Yet on average MPH ranges from 60 to 50mph. Now if you are in Texas they have interstate that has no set speed limit. ONLY. Only if the weather allows the speed and really it is in the middle of no where. Also the United States is a bit of a driving country to begin with. We grew use to our speed limits.
"but officer it was only 5 miles over the speed limit." Fine I'll let you off with a warning. interstates or "freeways" as we call them are anywhere from 60 mph -70mph
Well ACTUALLY the speed limits on the Autobahn is indicated by signs and can range from 60 on constructions sites all the way to "as fast as you like". So, at least in germany, there is no general speed limit. =)
Typically no one really follows the speed limit in America, everyone goes at least 5 over and usually 10-15 over. Cops don't really sit out with radar guns all the time, just mostly at the end of the month when they need to meet their quota.
These videos are so laid back and I love it! Could watch these forever.
It's all about space on my desk. I need the keyboard, joystick and a large microphone and stand (which has to be close to me). A steering wheel would take up a lot of desk space and make it hard to get close enough to the mic. Playing and recording has it's own problems :)
I watch your ETS videos while I play it myself, especially on the longer drives.
Thanks for the entertainment!
I really enjoyed that journey with you Squirrel, excellent stuff😃
Speed limits on turnpikes (toll roads) usually 65-70mph. Interstates in rural areas can sometimes hit 85.
40:42 I see the little Trameri delivery stop with the arch and think Squirrel has got to drive into there, "uh oh! uh oh! uh oh! Squirrel!!!!!!!"
That's it! I'm replacing my waterfall and crickets ambient sounds with Squirrel Nuts! You are absolutely intoxicating!
Thanks for the info!
Fantastic Videos... Keep it up! Long & Uncut are the best ones. Thank you!
Yup, I was thinking the exact same thing, SAMP was amazing, it still is!
I drove from Hamburg to Kosice(Slovakia) on a BMW 118 1.9 Diesel 🙌 you don't understand how amazing it was, only 19 years old too and it went pretty well for me 😎
that was very good driving that was squirrel, watching the 1&2 videos seemed long but worth watching both of them.
Great vid as usual Squirrel, thank you. That being said, it is not your fault these people are having trouble with the mods. Adriel Green This is comments is long enough for my English Presentation
How about that yield sign you hit in the first part?
awesome scania im in america and i still think the scania is the best truck in the game. keep trucking love your vids.

Nice video again Squirrel! Sad thing you didn't go for the paintjob right now, was kinda waiting for it!
Ahh. was waiting for the paint job. Next time maybe. Great vid either way.!
Thanks for the reply Squirrel, you made my day again. I am glad to hear it doesn't really bother you; I may have misinterpreted your tone on the video.Still, I don't know how you deal with so many similar inquiries on the same subject, constantly. I suddenly imagined Squirrel playing GTA 5 as a trucker, driving through the desert with the rest of the crew shooting at random guys from the back..
the thing you are craing I think it is a balist tank for ships. the holes on the bottem are to pump water out and the top is for pumping in
Use Cruise control it helps to avoid speeding tickets ha ha. I dozed off in my truck, came round and was heading for a ditch! I swear there were no rest stops for hours on the way down the west of the map to Geneva.
Another awesome one, I have literally no idea how this is interesting but it is!
the grand scheme....love this never change
I love the idea of classical music, at least one episode.
I'd like to hear some little details about your destination or the route.
And to kickstart it :
Parts of the Autobahn can actually be turned into propper emergeny Airfields for the Air Force. This was done in the Cold War.

I live in Lancaster (LANE-cuhs-ter) County and the PA Turnpike SL was just upped to 70 MPH but most highways are 65MPH
I think the idea is good and you did do really well driving
The video lenght was just right! I only had to wait too long for the second part ^^
i think interesting facts about places on the journey would be fun to listen to with the war thunder music in the background
Thanks squirrel for the videos it made my decision to buy euro trucker 2 great game , keep the trucking videos going
I'm using 1.8 with no problems. And I did have the backing up issue. thanks for the advise. good vid
I don't feel bad to be honest because there is nothing more I can do to warn people about the dangers of using mods. I put a disclaimer in every video description and warn people to watch my Mod Guide video. No-one can say "You didn't warn me" =)
Classical music: Yes please! Informations about cities: Yes please! ... And btw, trying to repay your loan asap might be a good idea
Hey "Peca para usina" is Portuguese for piece for an eletrical plant, so it's probably a furnace for a thermoelectric plant
13:50 The interstate speed limits range from 50 - 65 MPH (about 90 - 105 KPH.) It takes a VERY long time to get from place to place.
Average max speed on the US Interstates is 70 mph. In cities, it's usually 55-65 mph, and in empty areas (Some of Utah, Texas, etc.) it goes up to 80 mph.
I agree
Speed Limit is around 40-80 (40 is the lowest spectrum at least here in New York state). People stay at least in the 60-70 range.
lol back when Squirell used to swear
27:15 - How many were yelping at the screen at this point, "There was an 80 sign! You went past an 80 sign!! Slow down!". :D
i am new to your channel and i love your vids!!!! keep up the good work!!
i could sit and watch these all day 😍
I am. We are playing Red Orchestra 2 and Heroes and Generals together. Just not posting footage.
We are fairly adjusted to driving only 100-110 km/h on the freeways here in Canada, we just accept that it takes a rather long while to get anywhere.
Keep up the good work love our euro truck vids
Squirrel, keep it all in and like the length.
I have noticed squirrel that you say there is not pedestrians in the game. there are in fact pedestrians and you can turn them on in the graphics menu. They only appear in cities like you'd expect but they are a nice addition
Thanks Squirrel these videos are awesome!
love this, maybe because it's relaxing? just listen to you talking and driving scania :)
OMFG SQ my man i love it, you doing so perfect, started laughing my ass off on that first cam, then as soon as i stopped laughing, second cam good show, good show

70 or 75 mph depending on the state. Brutal when traveling across the Dakotas and Eastern Montana where there are very few towns...
Ashhuming, ashhuming. Hilarious. No disrespect, Squirrel is a man you don't want to fuck with

you are an amazingly good driver
Love your videos. Really need to upgrade my PC to start doing stuff like this.
You would be amazed the reasons people have for disliking a vid. Doubtless the people who clicked dislike did not even watch it.
Brno is very nice city :-)
Yes! you made me think of smokey and the bandit, when you see hundreds of trucks
Lol...the last rest stop you had, there were two AI cars behind you in the fuel station. You were blocking them and then rested. When you came back from resting, they were still stuck there...
"I think he's a bit butt hurt by the fact that i went down the inside of him, around a bend, in my giant trailer." WTF PAUL? 15:00
In north america we settle in for a long ride, but things that are far in Europe are considered around the corner in North america
There was a job from Brno to Aberdeen in the freight market!! Haven't you always wanted to take that trip?

Speed limit in the U.S.A on highways and interstates is about 65 or 75 (mph) and the fastest road is in Texas, 85mph.
@DaSquirrelsNuts as a new sub, from what I've seen so far anything that you decide to do is gonna be good!
You should use the motor brake so you don't stop so suddenly, its great when you only need to slow down a little bit.
Found this quite enjoyable to watch!!! Game seems addictive - me like :)

Paul will you be doing more Bridge Project videos? Loved the 1rst one.
Track IR is perfect for this game
In the us the speed limit is 65-70 mph but you can usually go 10-15 mph past the speed limit
In Oregon, the speed limit is about 65 on the interstate.
Liège is in Belgium! Not so far from my old house. :D
The highest speed limit in north america is 85 mph.
interstate is anywhere from 75-80 but in many areas on the west coast traffic moves at around 90mph.
"but officer it was only 5 miles over the speed limit." Fine I'll let you off with a warning. interstates or "freeways" as we call them are anywhere from 60 mph -70mph
In parts of Texas the speed limit is 80, but most of the interstates are between 60-75
yeh in the mirror...cool..
nice vid squirrel,thanks. :)
I love the idea about the city histories, tho only if that would be not too hard for ya :)
Although there's not a real speed limit on most of the german autobahns, there's a recommended maximum speed of 130 Km/h in most of the sectors. ;)
Well ACTUALLY the speed limits on the Autobahn is indicated by signs and can range from 60 on constructions sites all the way to "as fast as you like".
