Funnily enough, I completely forgot about the chair with ostrich legs in the intro. I guess those are the kind of details we just accept as normal when we're children lol.
Is 'Horrid on Sea' a metaphor for Wall Street and the city and the peasent is the rest of us? Except, in real life, if they all tried to jump into the sea the little peasent would be expected to make himself and his family into some sort of human safety net to break their fall. I used to love these as a kid. Around the same time there was also the jim Henson tales with John Hurt, but even though their production values were higher I always preferred Riks version...

I loved this, as far as I know its only been shown on tv once, I hope that its released on DVD or Blu-ray at some point
