It still suffers from the same problem that destro always will since SL S3-S4, if you're not in an MDI group all it takes is a tank getting a little scared and moving 3 yards to the left and you do no damage
important to note that the cdf/rdf build would in theory continue to pull ahead as you add targets beyond the 5 in this test (more cdf splash dmg and skips added globals spent refreshing immolate)
The one thing you aren't factoring in is that if you're playing destro in keys, you should really be maximizing versatility as your top stat to boost your riffs, which should eventually become your top damage

Rather than look at the rng of the tier/etc. On left with CDF, just add that to immolate. so ROF was ROF dmg, no difference there Immolate + CDF beat out immolate with scalding flames. And this makes sense as there is more downtime on recasting immolates. I would say CDF takes a slight edge here, but CDF being a stationary thing can also be a pain, but if you can plant, then CDF seems easier playstyle than tabbing across all targets. Dungeons like EB which has so many mobs, the tabbing across that many to recast immolate is going to net you a huge dps loss.
This is the reason I voted for the S2 tier set. Cata and CDF feels amazing as QOL. If you could cast CDF on the move it would be epic but wishful thinking.

Its either cdf or some not bringing much nodes, like % to immolation with immo extension. Pound for pound cdf is just more value (ignore sims, just think of it). Fast forward 2 months: CDF is played by every top destro lock. No coincidence here. Now I wonder, why cdf tier was neglected? Answer is simple. Casual destro enjoyers. It makes perfect sense to have a spell in your kit that extends your immos, now that your playstyle doesn't revolve around having lesser CD on infernal, but casual destro enjoyers do not understand why Inferno + GWD was a power house, and why CDF was messing a bit that playstyle. Unlucky that majority votes are coming from people who will never push a key with destro, but for that juicy +15 key of yours cdf is a curse, I understand why.
Destro will always have a place in my heart but I swapped to tank/healer this season after spending all of Season 1 and 2 waiting 20-30min as a DPS for keys. Watching Kalamazi videos always gives me the urge to return
I like the Idea of using CDF. However this shows again the limitations of the tree. CDF is not compatible with Cata AND Scalding flames. Too less points. THis "Too less points" especially in the middle part is absolutely present the whole expansion and in m+. Actually it really hurts me to not select the actual tier set for the upcomming season, Rift is so good to solve things as doing damage on the move as well as pooling some damage for a mini burts window. But in m+ we are throtteled by the points we have. The talents are there to be competitive, but you cannot use them.
Now that Sjele is back pushing on lock (he's been on aug most the season) he will be rank 1 soon. Meaning so will his cdf build Not only does cdf do around 8% of ur dam, but it also saves dozens of immolate casts across a dungeon run. Making it the better choice for any key high enough for trash to have to be redotted. I can't speak for everyone but for me not casting a ton of immolates is the actual gameplay style that feels better.
i feel like not enough people factor in the stuns from blasphemy too. on a +22 last night i got ~50 blasphemy procs meaning about 50 aoe 2s stuns which is HUGE for mob control.
People do factor that, if you play serious keys even in pug or have a group (that for sure) A bolster week in EB, on a high enough key, say at least 25, DESTRO lock is carrying whole group with that stuns. But if you join a 20(I did once to look up destro, I main demo this tier) people would be like: eh "D tier warlock spec" I can't even talk back to these monkeys.

Feels nice but... Infernal still needs to be on a 2 minute cd AT LEAST. 3 minute cd's are no fun. Speccially in this age of m+. Fix it blizz! There are classes pumping every minute. 😮💨
Felhunter always in m+, if you aren't providing a kick as a dps you are impeding your group. In raid play whatever for utility, imp is slightly higher damage if you need to target swap because it doesn't need to move but it's very very minor.
I like CDF I just wish you could channel while moving... other than that it's an awesome lookin skill to me, especially when you have green fire
It's my biggest gripe with CDF too. Would be a massive W if you could channel while moving.
Not power related but I really wish they would give us a glyph to bring back the old Incinerate animation. It looked 10 times better to me

Burn to Ashes x2, crits a lot, especially if your running crit/haste in your gear.
Those crits, rival cb dmg, and they cast faster.

3k destro here, destro is heavily tank reliant, if your tank doesnt know the proper big pulls especially in tyrranical you suffer heavily in dps

m+ felhunter, you need kick and purge. In raid if there is single target succubus provides dmg bonus. I there is target switch go imp.
