    BTS actually mentioned, several times, how much they felt supported by the whole background dance crew. They said the dancers cheering them on was EXACTLY what they needed at that point because they were getting tired, but the dancers, even though they were tired too, just hyped and hyped and hyped them up so they could dig deep for those final intense parts of the routine. They (BTS) had nothing but glowing appreciation for the dancers'/band members' work ethic and professionalism and just all around SUPPORT...which I know was appreciated since our boys were far from home for so long and not fluent in the language and they just felt safe and supported by HARD WORKERS with great heart. 💜 ARMY so appreciates all the support they gave our guys!

    The guy dancing bare feet and ponytail is Jimin. He is a main Dancer for BTS along with Jhope. As a group BTS are probably my favorite group of artist who are dancers, singers, composers, writers and producers. They are such a marvel that I am always amazed at their hard work and precision! You should check out their Black swan performance at James corden next of you haven't already. It is amazing.
    BTS' official role classifications are as follows: (these titles were confirmed and read out loud during the Hagwan Cultural Merit medal ceremony last year, given to BTS by the S. Korean President).

    Jimin = Main Dancer / Lead Vocalist
    Jhope = Main Dancer / Lead Rapper
    JK = Main Vocalist/ Lead Dancer
    RM = Leader / Main Rapper / Dancer
    Jin = Lead-Sub Vocalist / Dancer
    V = Lead-Sub Vocalist / Lead Dancer
    Suga = Main Rapper / Dancer
    P.S they all are amazing and talented. They are 7 individuals who all together make BTS what BTS.

    What I love about BTS's dancing is that, they aren't robotic. They may be synchronized, but they each show their own personality while dancing. I've noticed other groups that look extremely clean and try to dance perfectly, but there's no personality to them. They look like robots. I wanna see a person dancing on stage.

    I love your comments about preferring a dancer who commits to a routine instead of one who is clean and plays it safe. I was just talking about this with my husband the other day while watching World of Dance. We as dancers spend years practicing and honing our technique. But the truly amazing performers know how to let it all go, trust in their training, and just live in the moment on stage. The best dancers can do all of that at the same time, but if I had to choose as a choreographer, I would pick a passionate dancer, who can bring out the emotion of the piece, any day over one who's technique was flawless but stuck too much in their own head. I also feel like sometimes imperfections can breathe life into a piece. Sometimes when a piece is "perfect" it feels to cold and detached, because as humans imperfection is actually very relatable. Sorry for the long comment, I was just excited to see someone who shares similar thoughts on something that I was already currently musing over. Thank your for the reaction!

    I hope this comment doesn't get lost but I really like how you explained the commitment to the movements and I think that's a great way of explaining it. the way they dance and perform now is very different than before and Taehyung (the guy in grey overalls) actually mentioned how they might seem messier now but it's because they're a different bts now than they were in the past. If you look at their old dance practices, they're very in sync and super precise, but it doesn't give nearly the same energy as these newer performances that have commitment in their moves and hits. I'd honestly love to see you react to their older videos in comparison to the newer ones to give your take on it!

    So the guy in the green shirt is J-Hope and the barefoot guy with blonde hair is Jimin. Both are among the best dancers in the Kpop industry. Definitely keep an eye on both of them in routines, their styles are so different but they really master every choreography. J-Hope's techniques are so clean and beautiful. He has incredible control over his body. Jimin's are sensual and emotive, very beautiful too. J-Hope’s styles are Street Dance and Hip Hop but he's done many others. Jimin's style is more contemporary but he's also done Hip Hop and other styles as well. Jimin ranks higher in popularity as an idol so you will see more content for him but please keep an eye on J-Hope, too. i appreciate this piece so much more in this kind of video, not that the final product is lacking or anything like that, but in this the energy comes through so vividly, just by watching it i feel like i'm in it and my pulse is synching up or something 😅 so many details of a scale that grand can get lost in zoom-ins or simply getting drawn in by whats happening in the center as you said, the more um omniscient(?) view has a taste of its own, yes every ingredient is delicious enough to hold its own but when they come together its overwhelming in the most wonderful way, sublime almost, like witnessing the forces of nature

    Why I love watching BTS choreo over other groups, is because the other groups try to look cool, and moves are created usually so they can still sing stable while performing. BTS just throws their whole body in and around and there's no way anyone can sing stable while doing those things but they somehow manage to sound decent and it's just mind blowing how much effort and stamina they have and how much time they spend every choreo off the ground

You could say he doesn’t have any natural talent for it. But before BTS became so wildly popular, they were known for their dancing and tough choreos. The fact that RM is able to keep up with the rest of the group is damn impressive and commendable.

    Good to hear comments and analysis from an expert! As your background is street dance you may like to check out a compilation of j-hope's performances and freestyles (guy in green shirt), as he also comes from street dance! He's the dance leader in BTS and looks after rehearsals and picking out errors etc. The compilation by the channel Hopeworldians is pretty good.

    I’m ARMY and have seen lots of comments on things you can watch from BTS - but I would add, given your comments to this video specifically, that you might watch DCI (Drum Corps International/drum and bugle corps) videos, too. I’m gonna assume (possibly erroneously) that you don’t know them - drum corps is especially amazing for things like rotating formations, ripples, and large scale peripheral visuals; you’ve got brass line, drum line, and then also the colour guard who are often the dancer-folk. I marched Cadets of Bergen County and the reason I LOVE so much is because it’s so heavily inspired by both corps and HBCU stepping cultures.

    The girl with purple hair in the middle at the very beginning is actually a choreographer of this performance! It's Sienna Lalau from a popular dance crew called "The Lab" (the crew is also present in this video along with BTS' own backup dancers) 😉
    All the backup dancers are professional dancers here. Some of BTS members are also pro dancers (Jimin the man-bun-guy & J-hope specifically) but they are still singers/rappers first and foremost 😊
    P.S.: noticed your confused face when Jimin tried to snick up behind everyone for his part, that was funny 😂
    P.P.S.: I know what you mean, and I think you would really like Jimin (seems like you already did tho) cause he is both - grand and powerful yet with clean lines and smooth transitions ^_^

    I might be late commenting here but it’s better late than never😂 If you’re going to add the choreography reaction of BTS then you’re in for a ride. They have dance practices and outstanding jaw-dropping performances at award shows.
    Where are we going to even start? J-Hope (real name Jung Hoseok) is the main dancer of the group, you should check on the ‘Chicken Noodle Soup’ as he gave tribute to the song and the creator of the original.
    Their MMA performances are a killer too, every performance, choreography, song and basically everything about BTS are so damn good and unreal.
    Dionysus is like the top tier, nothing comes close.
    Park Jimin aka Jimin has a background of dancing to contemporary before.
    The dance line in the group are J-Hope, Jungkook or JK, Jimin and V or Taehyung. Mic Drop, Fake Love and Black Swan is a must but there is no rush in all of these.
    Include their choreography at their concerts too.

    That guy in white shirt you mentioned that his dance is a bit “off”? Yea, he suffered from serious shoulder dislocation from a car accident on 2013 and recently just got his operation, medication and rehabilitation done in the end of 2020 till now. And yes, he got his operation done after years cause before this he thought he can’t just abandon his group like this and go on hiatus for months.
    Thanks for supporting the group and thanks for understanding ☺️ cause they literally pour in their souls for all performances
