Thank you for your video. I could not have replaced my 2018 Honda Accord struts without your video. Greatly appreciate you taking the time to make such a detailed video.
@@JustaHondaAccord oh i bet bro, I've done it a few times in norcal when its 105 around 5pm. I get annoyed so quick 😂. From now on I'll only work on my car in the mornings.
Question.... 11:09, what is the 5th bolt off to the left (silver) for? I was inspecting mine and found it to be loose. (3x large bolts with one in the center...i'm talking about the one to left of these)
I have th Eibach Pro Kit with the Tein Endurapro Struts. It's good. I had to get a camber kit installed. I had the H&R OE Sports and Tokiko's and liked that ride better on a 2000 Accord. I also had Neuspeed and Tokiko combo on my civic. The H&R and Tokiko Blue were fantastic as were the Neuspeed and Tokiko Blue. I like the Eibach Tein setup but just not as much. Might be because my 18 Accord is heavier? I dunno.
I just am doing them today and it was super hard to get the strut into the bottom knuckle my car only has about 3k miles on it could that be the reason
Do you still have the oem springs?Could you do me a favor and measure the length of 1 of the front springs ?Need to compare them with some civic springs.
Why do you have to cut the bump stop? I also have a Touring they said that Touring are best with lower spring because of the active suspension. Someone said in the group on facebook that Touring make a *clanking* noise on bumps it is true?
Sorry for the belated response. The bump stop cut is recommened by eibach to prevent bottom out the strut prematurely. With these springs you shortened the springs by 20mm. The recommendation is to trim the bump stop by the same amount. No clunking on my touring.
Thanks for the video, since you have the touring model, how did lowering springs ride with your ADS? Can you still feel a difference between normal and sport mode? Any lights go off because of the ADS system? I'm seriously wanted to lower my 2018 touring also bit haven't been able to find much info. Also for your spring kit, Is it the Pro kit, or the Sportline kit that you installed? Please let me know, thanks!
No regrets on the springs have had no issues. There isn't a drastic change in handling or dampening over bumps. I did the pro kit and it pretty much eliminated wheel gap which was all I wanted. Didn't want to increase road harshness significantly and feel the pro kit has accomplished that.
I’m very hesitant to do this because I have heard for the springs to make noise. Plus I’m just getting into cars and really don’t want to mess anything up. I’m just looking for the aesthetics. Did you feel any difference in performance? Because the touring drive crazy smooth already
Did you have to unplug anything electrical connected to shock/dampeners? I have the touring too and I’m quite not sure how the adaptive suspension works lol how are they being adjusted for example?
hows the cornering compared to stock? also.. you have a the Touring model, which has Active Damper System.. does the ride stiffness change when in sports mode compared to normal?
The cornering is greatly improved over stock a lot tighter in the turns. However need a front sway bar to balance the fronts sloppiness with the tight rear end. I do have the touring model and when putting in sport mode, the suspension is stiffer.
@@JustaHondaAccord I have the springs on order.. I have the touring model as well, there not a lot of Touring owners with lowering springs.. thanks for your reply. I can't wait to get them installed. Did you get a chamber kit? or Alignment? also, if you get a new front sway bar.. definitely let me know and make a video. I will probably do the same
Nice content! and just subscribed. Do you regret getting the springs? I am trying to decide if should get the H&R that drops 1.2 or the Eibach Prokit but there is no aftermarket shocks and i heard these springs will blow your OEM shocks quick. Just wanted to get you feedback if its really worth it or you are experiencing any issues with your tires wearing out or your shocks wearing out.
@@JustaHondaAccord Hey bro, I noticed in order to jack up the front of the car, you've used two floor jacks. I've noticed that jack well in this car is too far in just right before the catalytic converter. Have you tried jacking up from the tow hitch in front of the vehicle on the passenger side of the vehicle and raise the car? I really don't want to spend more money and grab a 2nd jack to raise this car because I have a 2019 accord. My 2018 Toyota camry is more ease. I think I can jack it up using only 1 floor jack.
You only need one jack. I use stock jacking point pinch weld behind either front wheel. Then lower the wheel onto a ramp. You could use a couple of 2 x 12s cut to length to set your front wheel down on and make sure to chalk it so it can't roll. Getting one wheel a couple inches off the ground gives you the clearance you need to access the front jacking point. So you can get both wheels on jack stands using the pinch weld you jacked up to raise that front wheel. Hope that makes sense.
@@JustaHondaAccord I hate the 2018 models jacking point. I will try what you told me. I do have set of rhino ramps and set of wheel chalks from harbor freight. My 2004 and 2016 accord were a lot easier to lift them. They make cars too low nowadays. Thanks for the advice.
Appreciate the content!Every sub and share so he can get AC for his garage. I don’t see how you work in that hot of a garage lol. Much respect and once again thanks for the continued great content

thank you so much for providing the torque specs man. the amount of videos i’ve watched just trying to get these specs is insane
This video was very informative and I now feel ready to change my own springs. Thanks a lot man.
Right on, glad to hear! If you have any questions you know where to find me.
Had to sub once I realized how much you were sweating. Much dedication
Thanks man it's no picnic working in the garage in Phoenix during the summer.

There are three nuts holding the strut and a guide. Think the guide might be what you are talking about.
@@JustaHondaAccord what's the guide for?
Aligning the strut in the correct orientation
I wore the same puma socks today, I like the blue ones 😂
Good video I going try it thanks for list of tools needed

Don’t forget to hydrate bro!
I’ve done this without spring clamps ..did I got lucky or how important is it to use those ?
What did you use to cut the bump stop?
I just am doing them today and it was super hard to get the strut into the bottom knuckle my car only has about 3k miles on it could that be the reason
I got d2 lowering springs and I was wondering if the bigger springs go up front or the smaller ones go up front?
looks great!! question: does your car feel a bit bouncy with the springs?

How did you get the sway bar link to go down I unbolted it however it’s not going lower for me to get the original strut in
a friend of mine is having the same issue
do you remember what you did?

Are able to put a camber bolt in for more camber? Or we can’t because there’s only one bolt
Never researched the front adjustment settings with the pro kit being in spec. Couldn't say.
2.0t touring since it has active damping, putting lower springs will mess it up??
Nope, haven't had any issues
@@JustaHondaAccord you have to take it off right? And if after to set it back to stock it will work?
The strut has active dampening. Still functions with lowering springs if I ever wanted to revert to stock would install the stock springs back on.
i installed mine and car shakes 20 mph and when i accelerate i tighten everything down and reason why
Something went wrong. Would recheck everything. Get the car back on jack stands and take a look. Maybe the strut or spring isn't seated all the way.
Do you have a touring model? How are the lowering springs with the adaptive dampeners?
I do have a touring, adaptive dampeners still work great.

where did you get that tool to put the key through the socket ? As well as what the name of it
It's called a go through socket. I got it at harbor freight for I think 10-15$ for the set.
Also got the extra long allen sockets from harbor freight also.

No noises from my suspension. Are you sure it was seated in the top hat correctly when installing?

Haven't had any issues on my setup thus far. Car drives almost identically to stock from a spring standpoint.
omg how do you sweat so much? literally raining
A lot, temp in the garage is average of 107 in the middle of summer in Phoenix. Outside is probably 110-115 when this was shot.

Yup, it's in the next video, episode 9.
Hey what are those tools you used to get that Allen bolt off the strut tower. Mines keep spinning and I can’t get it off please help
It's a go through socket from Harbor freight and long Allen sockets.

Nope didn't have to. The fronts are ultra easy to pull just the few nuts and bolts I show in the video.
