    $300 dollars in 1970 is roughly $2,300 today...so at least the vase kept up with inflation:-)

    That’s about the same as what it was purchased for in the 70s calculating for inflation.

      It wasn't purchased in the 70s, it was appraised then.

      That's correct, not purchased but appraised. Basicly the appraised price hasn't been change if you calculate for inflation.

      That's about what you expect from quality antiques. The best things mostly just retain their value plus inflation.

    This was a pretty neat piece! I collect meiji Era cloisonne, but I don't think I have anything this good. Hahaha

    Filmed in 2018. $350 in 1970 was equivalent to $2,266 in 2018.

    You typically can tell if an art, with a dragon, is Chinese or Japanese since each depicts their dragons with different numbers of toes, 3 or 4.

    why say 2500 then 4 thousand, that is very odd, surely it would be 2 and a half thousand to 4 thousand
