Immersion and Atmosphere in THE ASCENT (1977)

This is a brief and atmospheric video essay that I made for my final project in my "World Cinema" class at UNCSA. I examine the way that The Ascent uses its filmmaking techniques to bolster its tone and increase the emotional impact of the film.

@@thomasgetsey6062 your video is brilliant, it should inspire people, I've always had an adoration for atmospheric cinema, thank you as well for bringing more light to this masterpiece, if your a fan of atmosphere I think you'll really enjoy The Caretaker (1963)
