As a kid, I loved Fruit Strip over Juicy Fruit, but settled for Juicy because it was easier to find in my neck of the woods. Fruit Strip I got at grandmas over summer. But my fave was Bazooka!

I used to chain chew Juicy Fruit cause it only tasted sweet for the first couple minutes then you spit it out and get another. I’d eat a multi pack in an hour. Don’t chew gum anymore as an adult Lol
Those watching movies t shirts remind me that the greatest cheesy and low budget movie ever made is Velocipastor, the story of a priest who goes to China and gains the power to transform into a dinosaur and a hooker with a heart of gold encourages him to use his new found power to fight crime and Catholic ninja drug dealers. Yes this is a real movie and I fell out of my chair laughing so hard.
I love wintergreen and spearmint but not peppermint or cinnamon gum. Teaberry and sour apple were fantastic when I was a kid. But my all time favorite is black licorice gum. Fantastic.
The real test of gum is how does it taste once it loses its flavor lol. (For the record, 5 Gum and Extra are my favorites, though the former seems to have stopped making my favorite flavor)

OH!!! If you lick the white paper part of the Big Red gum and stick it to your forehead it burns super bad, almost like a really mild pepper spray...that gum could be used as a weapon!
Gum was never allowed in my house, and it still isn't! Mum spent quite a Bit of her Childhood, during the 1960's, in Singapore as Grandad (her Dad) was in the Royal Navy during "the Confrontation" against Indonesia over Malaya (as much as the British Government just called it "a confrontation", it was 100% a full on Proxy War (as the Soviets were behind the Indonesians aggression) of the Cold War in all but name) and Gum is strictly Illegal in Singapore, although the Ban was made official in only 1992, it was still very much in place unofficially even in the 1960's, so Mum has always been of the view that Gum should be Illegal here as well, and Dad was always against it as it causes Ulcers. So it was never allowed when I was a much smaller boy!
Juicy is awesome…for about 12 seconds. You have to mature and grow up into the mint gums, Keith, if only for the lasting flavor. I was born in 83 and I thought JF was white then. Not sure I would have tried gray gum, lol. My wife Hates gum, so the kids and I have to live in shame and fear, hiding our gum habit from her.

Juicy Fruit was my favorite and then Big Red. Another one that used to be popular was Tea Berry.

I am sixty-three. Juicy Fruit gum was always grey when I was growing up. Shame on the manufacturer for adding food coloring!
