    Wow! You are hammering away at it! It looks so nice. I’m 6 weeks into my Kitfox STi build. You are giving me some motivation. Can’t wait to see your Epex go on, as that is my plan too.

    Great work Gary! The fabric work & paint is excellent! I really like the extra work with the interior panels. The yellow aluminum looks great, but the black plastic looks real good too. I think it will wear better than the aluminum - not showing scuffs as much.

    Good that you thought ahead for future access points as well

    Always wanted to build one of these so cool because can really build these at home don't need a hanger. I think I would go with the Oratex covering.

    Ya I said the same thing about the rudder cables when I strung mine. I called just aircraft and told them they forgot to weld on the back fairleads. They said no we don't put those on anymore..? To much wear I suspect, it does put some angle on that cable. I don't know about scrappy killer... Might want to see what scrappy can do first.

    Is it possible to secure the nut in place for your wing secure points? Less chance of wear in that location if the nut just stayed put. Another option would be a threaded tube insert.

    Damn. Every video it just starts looking lighter as in it's coming off of the ground soon. If honey badger is taken go for The Scrappy Killer. I'd be curious what the lb per hp on both planes would be. The quality of your work is fantastic. Can't wait to see it in it's natural habitat.

    I sure hope you build airplanes better than you build work shops ! I have never seen anyone frame like that in my life

    • @HookedOnUtah
      @HookedOnUtah  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      what are you talking about, frame what?

    • @markw.2106
      @markw.2106 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Framing? Really? IF Gary built that shed, he did it in a few days, he doesn't mess around with the little stuff. It's held up for years, not really built to NASA standards, and who cares? What is important is Gary is very successful, this is all for fun, he has an amazing family, whatever toys he wants, and he's sharing his ideas and this build to hopefully help others. I guess if your biggest accomplishment in life is your shed you'd spend more time on the engineering 😂
      Great job little brother, as always ...

    Where did you get your rivnuts and what size are they. I like that idea. also trying to figure out what to do with the interior as well. I like the look of that abs plastic.

    • @HookedOnUtah
      @HookedOnUtah  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Josh, I'm using the aluminum 8-32 rivnut, I found them on eBay. It's hard to decide what to do with the interior, I want it to look clean and professional. The ABA plastic looks great for some of what I want.

    Sharp looking plane. The ABS trim looks good, but does it warp or discolor when exposed to UV light?
