O my god because I’m French some guys in high school made a rumor that like I would get payed to teach people how to French kiss and it drove me insane people would come up to me being like can you teach me. I hated high school!
that i was a man stealer lol it happened in grade school. a girl was bullying me for years because she thought i would take one of her friends away from her. her friend and me had liked each other but we never engaged in anything because we were young and inexperienced. long story short - she made multiple rumours about my sexuality (that wasn't true) and tried to make the whole school hate me for no reason. it's crazy what people do just to make themselves feel better about themselves. truly disgusting if you ask me.
Tara, don't stress about the Hydrangea's, they are a one time bloom spring flower. Once the bloom is over, they will just have green leaves. If you want a lot of color, get Impatiens, or Begonias, they love the shade and give so much color up to frost. Your dad is a gem!
I just love your dad. He is always looking out for you. You were so sweet about him buying you the new hose. So glad you have such an awesome relationship with your parents. Both my parents have passed away and I was very close to my dad so it brings me such joy watching your interactions with your dad. 💗 treasure these moments no matter how small.

For the hydrangeas I just want to say they'll bloom, linger for a bit and then the flower will brown and die off leaving the rest of the plant green still. When it starts to do that you can always cut them and dry them to make beautiful looking dried flower arrangements! When you trim the dead flower do it at the base of the bloom rather than at the base of the plant. Once they get big and healthy enough sometimes they can bloom several times in the season if you trim the dead flowers off. Come winter they'll completely wilt and turn into dead brown sticks but don't fret - when it warms up next spring you'll see green shoots appearing at the base again! Hope this helps, hydrangea is my favorite flower and I have several large bushes of every color!
Tip on the ants situation. I had the exact thing except mine were coming into my home. A literal black cloud on my floors! 🫠 So I googled a safe chemical to make them go away…dish soap and water. Spray at the base of the door and under that step you have. Spray for a couple of days straight and they’ll be gone. Afterwards I sprayed once every 4-6 months. Hope this helps!

I recommend pruning the leaves on the bottom of your plants, so more energy is going into the flowers plus there is airflow below the upper leaves. Works great with my plants and veggies :)

Those expandable hoses are honestly the best!!! My mom lives on 3/4 of an acre and she swears by them!! 100% the best. They also have them have Lowes, Home Depot, and Walmart.
Love the backyard content! With your hydrangeas the key is water water water especially as the temps get higher! Also, with any plant, it’s healthiest to cut off the dead or dying parts because then the plant can use that energy to support the new healthy growth instead of trying to save the lost cause!
I use the ortho home defense for pest control! It works so good and you can get a two pack at Costco you just spray around your house and windows etc and they stay away!

Tara!! Used Coffee grounds work wonders on ridding ants from your yard or anywhere! Flower beds. Flower pots. And it’s a wonderful way to use a waste product you’d other wise throw away! Sprinkle them on top of the hill and bam! No more ants!
Wonder if polymeric sand would prevent them from making your doorway home. After you lay it spray it with a hose and it turns the cracks between the pavers into cement.
Water the entire hydrangea. They get moist through the blooms as well. They take watering daily. If you cut a bloom, soak it in cold water first (yes the entire bloom) then put it in a vase and it will last much longer.
My garden is full hydrangeas. They require a lot of water otherwise they droop once they have had a good watering they will go back to normal, water them extra when it’s hot. Hope this helps 🌸

I can’t believe I’m saying this but running can actually be fun 🏃♀️ 🤩 . I’ve been a plus size girl all my life and running was never for me but about 3 months ago I decided to give it a try. I had done Apple fitness plus 10 and 20 min treadmill walks and switched to running and I actually amazed myself how easy it was and started to do more. In May I ran my first 6K and planning to participate on a 5 K run in couple of weeks. You can do it! 😊

You can get them in bait stations and just put them by your front door and I guarantee you won’t have ants again!
