Fran, I got in to Sam Cooke's music because you mentioned him in another vlog and now my two year old daughter loves him! 'Cupid' is her favourite song and it's the cutest thing when she sings along to it, so thank you for broadening our musical horizons :)
This video was so useful for me. I was looking at your record suggestions & thinking about how I want to listen to a few of the albums. I was lamenting about how I always forget about what I want to listen to when it’s time for a music change, so…I uploaded Notion! Looking forward to using it to help with my music, reading career, personal goals. Thanks, Sister!
I'm also reading War and Peace! Such a great book. The best translation for it is by Louise and Aylmer Maude, which received Tolstoy's approval. My edition is by Wordsworth Classics, so the font is kinda tiny lol 😂😂
Your videos always make me excited about romanticising my life in my little apartment doing my little daily things 😊 I’m going to look up some of the records you mentioned now!
Fran! Creating a puzzle would be a great challenge for you, especially with your style evolving and exploring texture and pattern. I love your hair color. When you were arranging your flowers, I thought the colors were very similar to yours, don't know if that is why you like them too but the effect is super cute! How has it been for you to close your online store? I see you are focusing on making your work area more of a studio and less of a storage/processing space.
love you Fran thank you for sharing the ‘mental updates’ with such honesty, for me they are mini therapy sessions i really enjoy taking walks with you to museums, libraries, cafes and in the city, somehow, they give me hope and make me feel less alone, as I enjoy these activities for myself and always do them by myself i like seeing your comments along the way big hug
my book system is organizing by color bc my memory of book covers and spines is in colors so i always know what is where! im also an artist so you might like that color coordination! you could organize by color in english and then a separate one for spanish books!
I'm so glad I discovered your channel, I've been binge watching your vlogs and can definitely say that you're a breath of fresh air for me and inspire me to read and enjoy art more!! ❤ 🎉
It is so nice to see your excitement talking about the albums, brings a lot of joy :) I hope that you're feeling better and having time in your routine to do things that brings you comfort. Thank you for always, Fran. 💛
Okay so I normally just skip the ad part of most videos on youtube because I feel the products in the ads are never that useful. But this time I'm so glad I didn't! I'm currently trying Notion out as I'm typing this and I'm blown away with what you can do with it! It's very intuitive and not frustrating like other organisation tools. I love it so much already that I had to leave a comment about it. I have the tendency to bookmark things I want to use or buy or look at later. As a result I have huge bookmark folders I hardly look in and it's a mess 😅 Now I'm sorting it all neatly on Notion and it's so darn useful! Thnx Fran! This made my life infinity easier 🥰
Thank you for all the music recommendations, I don't have a record player but I do miss working in a cafe where we sold old and new records in the back of the store and we could play whatever we wanted from the used section
I love coming back to your videos if I need some comfort or just to have my morning coffee or to have something to watch while drawing 💜 I think I started watching you during high school and its been a few years now. c: I love love love the little written notes in the sections so much
Love your collection - I think that you would appreciate a few Stevie Wonder records; Talking Book (as a kid, I loved listening while running my fingers along the braille - it folds out), Inner Visions (Visions, Living for the City are favs), Songs in the Key of Life (Love’s in Need of Love Today, I Wish, Joy Inside my Tears, If It’s Magic, As - so many treasures). And speaking of our beloved Nina Simone, have you seen Questlove’s Summer of Soul? Brought me to tears!
It made me so happy to see you like José Gonzalez! Most people might not know that he is from Sweden and he actually live in my city so I've stumbled upon him many times. He's very casual, I've seen him in the same grocery store once. I adore his music too, that album is an art piece 🌟 Another fun fact, I believe it is his wife who created the album art!
Yay, I was just looking for inspiration to sit down and start designing the thing I've been meaning to do for a client and here is the perfect video to do that to! Thanks Fran, you are the best
Fran, it’s so good to see you! I love your record collection and will improve mine based on your recommendations💛 wish you good days ahead, hope and sunlight💋
hey! i love your vlogs- they bring me so much peace among classes and appointments. i’ve tried to get into notion as a creative but have found it difficult to set up. do you mind doing a motion set up tour for how you organize your creative projects? the month example you provided was super helpful for i thought i’d ask!
Yes! José Gonzalez! Musical genius. Have had the pleasure of seeing him live in London! Amazing, it was like a wall of sound and he was the only person on stage! Love that you love him too Fran! Great video, as usual, thank you!
Absolutely loved your vinyl records section. I don't have a record player but I quickly added all of these to my Playlist app. So excited yo listen to them
Thank you for sharing your record collection! I wanted to hear "new" music, and this is perfect! And definitely going to try Notion, although I knew it before, but didn't get its full potential 😅
I’ve actually been wanting to go through my vinyl and give it a good dusting off and I might have to now! Always lovely to catch up with you Fran💐 this winter has been a rough one, I feel like I’m just trying to hold on til Spring
My tiny little rose bush put out its first flower bud of this year this past week. It's not open yet, but hopefully we get more spring like days for the sake of our house plants.
If you like Billie Holiday I'd recommend my absolute favourite artist, Ella Fitzgerald! Oeh, she also has such a lovely voice & it always elevates my mood when I put on any of her records. Loving your collection by the way!
I loved this video so much! I could watch other people talking and showing their fave records all day because I also love doing that. Great collection!! And daang do I love your appartement!
Ciao Fran 🦊 I used Notion for years too and it helped me a lot organizing without post-its all around, important notes lost in the void and so on. Not far in the video but commenting before I forget: Records are MUCH heavier than books. I've worked in music libraries and we needed to make sure our shelving could handle vinyl records if we were going to load them up with those. Hi Fran! About book organising in many languages: I personally organise them by theme and by what I use them for. I have my photography books (English & Portuguese) on one side. Then philosophy books (in English & then French). Then I have my English novels. Then my Portuguese novels. Then French novels. Then the other languages (Dutch, Italian, etc) in their own section cus they're books I read specifically to practice these languages. If you wanna separate them by language, then maybe just organising them within each language section, in order of theme/use. Like the English books could start from one theme: ex art, then politics, then magazines, and finally novels. I'd suggest keeping your most used themes on either end. Same with the Spanish ones! :)
Been struggling myself too. Thanks for the video, always a pleasure. since you are reading classics also, may I recommend Steinbeck, I love them all, but "The grapes of wrath" and " East of Eden" are just top reads. Until next time❤
M'lady I would recommend musical Pierre Natasha and The Great Comet 1812. War and piece is huge and kinda heavy to read (saying as native), and this musical is really helpful and brings more playfulness and fun, kinda fanfiction vibe! Thx for the video have a nice month!
your videos are always so lovely and relaxing to watch! and jeez, "war and peace" brings me to my memories of reading it in 11th grade (soo basically 1,5 years ago haha) and my god, was it LONG. too long. and slightly boring. but anyways, good luck with that book! it might be interesting to read it in translation because I've read in russian. hmmm.
Love your videos so much! I put them on when I paint or journal and it’s like having a friend with me 💜 Thank you for sharing about your mental health, shit is tough! No worries here about the upload schedule, take all the time you need! I noticed the tattoo on your upper arm, would you ever consider doing a tattoo tour?? Hope you’re having a nice day 😊
I love you Fran!

Wow, great record collection, Fran. I listened to most of those albums in the 70s and 80s and I still like them today 👏👏👏

I’m glad to not be the only painter who talks to their cat while in their spot on the couch. ❤

Ciao Fran 🦊 I used Notion for years too and it helped me a lot organizing without post-its all around, important notes lost in the void and so on. wtf records can break shelves?! (so happy I got the wooden crate then haha)
Hi Fran! About book organising in many languages:
I personally organise them by theme and by what I use them for. I have my photography books (English & Portuguese) on one side. Then philosophy books (in English & then French). Fran, you should keep your records more upright if you can, they can warp in a slanted position! 😊
I would love to see your puzzle collection! ☺
btw, as always, I am really enjoy your vlogs ❤
Gotta say, that puzzle is dope
I want that vacuum cleaner!!! So cute.
M'lady I would recommend musical Pierre Natasha and The Great Comet 1812. War and piece is huge and kinda heavy to read (saying as native), and this musical is really helpful and brings more playfulness and fun, kinda fanfiction vibe!
Thx for the video have a nice month!
