Forever a Raptor Legend! He was stuck on Steph like glue in the 2019 Finals. He's the Leader of the Raptors Franchise now. An adequate successor to Kyle Lowry in terms of his mentality and leadership.
that box and 1, with him being the 1 guarding steph the whole time, is one of the most impressive things about him. yeah, steph got buckets (when does he not?) but fred made it a living hell for him

He did that again a couple of days ago. When Steph was shooting 30, 40 points a game on most nights this season, Fred locked him down to only 12. And Fred himself got 17! This man is HUGE that comes in a small bundle!

In all honesty, the first time I saw Fred play was in Summer League. I remember going to the Gym the next day tellin everyone, "this guy is going to be a big player for our squad". Of course, as a fan of the Raptors since: Jordan retired for the second time, we fixed our Jerseys and got Vince and T-Mac (Circa 1999) there have been some challenging times to live through. Vince put Tdot on the map, CB4 kept us respectable but Kyle and DeMar gave us an identity, a culture. Fred now carries that torch; I love this man. He's a real dude and one helluva baller and I'm going to root for this man no matter where he plays. A true CHAMPION!

VanVleet, Ron Baker and Cleanthony Early should've beat Kentucky. Neither here nor there. I'm happy Fred got his due! My hometown Wichita Kansas ain't much, but its my home. To me, the biggest contract for an undrafted player wasn't the most amazing thing. Contracts are going up all the time. Fred's biggest accomplishment is having the most points (54) by an undrafted player, beating Moses Malone (who shouldn't even count as undrafted, but that's a moot point now). Now THAT'S amazing.
Great interview. Fred and Matt share one thing in common - they're both very smart both they can both talk "street". Nice to hear Fred talk up his rookie Scottie Barnes. Some Raps fans think he doesn't feed the rook enough, but Scottie is learning to earn it.
